Alpine Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Alpine Campground sits along Highway 2 in Bessemer, operating year-round with full hookups for RVs up to 50 feet. The campground provides electric, water, and sewer connections, plus amenities including showers, restrooms, and a dump station. Sites accommodate both drive-in and walk-in access, with pets welcome throughout the property.

Traffic noise from the adjacent highway reaches camping areas, though reviewers note the campground maintains generally quiet conditions otherwise. The lower section features river access for campers interested in water activities. Bathroom facilities show their age and require quarters for shower use, but campers report adequate cleanliness levels. Reservation policies require phone contact rather than online booking. For those wanting a quieter riverside setting, City of Wakefield Eddy Park - Sunday Lake Campground offers an alternative just east of town.

Many grassy sites

Camping area is nice. There is a River along the lower portion of this campground. We were able to remain hitched up. Quiet. Bathroom is very dated, 25cents to shower. Generally clean. Adequate if you need a place to stay for a night.

Good Location for Black River Scenic Byway but....

Difficult to make a reservation. No way to reserve online. Had to call several times to reach anyone and when we arrived  the owner had no record of our call or the $10 deposit check she requested I send. Campground is located on Hwy 2 and can hear the traffic from sites. Prices are not published. The owner tells a story about not running air condition at the request of the electric company. It is not really believable. She claimed to provide Wifi but it not accessible.  Site is level.
