Quick off highway camp site

They charge 50 dollars for a tent site with no electric, the spots are right next to eachother and touch the bath house. There’s more rules than a state park.its easy to get in and out of.

Three Stars

The sites at this campground are extremely close to each other. My picnic table was about 10 feet from my neighbor’s sewer hookup. The WiFi is spotty. Enough strength most of the time to get emails but many times not enough to stream video. The park is clean and noise level was tolerable. We were right across from the playground. Water pressure and power were good. No cable hookup. Probably won’t be back here.

Basic

Pros - it's clean, nice pool, good playground for kids.

Cons- 1/4 mile off I95 run your ac or you will hear trucks engine breaking all night. A lot of cars in and out of the campground all night. Sites in my area not level. No camp store whatsoever so if you need even the basic of necessities your going to have to leave. If your looking ro crash for the the night it's a good place to it

July 21 stay

Really loved our very friendly neighbors! Decent sized campground seems clean from what we experienced. The sites are a bit closer together than we usually like to be but it isn’t awful. Pretty quiet overall. Wish we knew in advance how the hookups were layed out because it is way far away from where our hose would reach and we had to go out and buy an extension due to it being located at the end of the site. Some of the seasonal people who camp here seem stand off ish but other than that nice place to stay and plan on returning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Black Bear Campground located in Massachusetts?

Black Bear Campground is located in Salisbury, Massachusetts, just about a quarter mile off Interstate 95. This convenient location makes it easily accessible for travelers, though its proximity to the highway means some traffic noise is audible, particularly trucks engine braking at night. The campground's location provides good access for those visiting the Salisbury area or using it as a base for exploring northeastern Massachusetts.

Are there photos available of Black Bear Campground facilities?

Black Bear Campground offers facility photos showcasing its amenities including a swimming pool, playground for children, and camping sites. While no central photo gallery is specified, visitors can view images of the campground to get a sense of the site layout and facilities before booking. The campground's cleanliness is generally good, particularly around the pool and playground areas. For the most current images, checking the official Black Bear Campground website or calling directly is recommended.

What do reviews say about Black Bear Campground in Salisbury?

Black Bear Campground receives mixed feedback. Positive aspects include a clean swimming pool, good playground for kids, friendly neighbors, and overall cleanliness. However, several limitations are noted: sites are extremely close together (some picnic tables only 10 feet from neighboring sewer hookups), hookups are positioned far from some sites, many sites aren't level, and highway noise from I-95 is significant. The campground has numerous rules, no camp store for basic supplies, spotty WiFi that's sufficient for email but often inadequate for streaming, and bathrooms that could use improvement. Tent sites cost around $50 with no electrical hookups.

Does Black Bear Campground have RV accommodations?

Yes, Black Bear Campground offers RV accommodations with full hookups, though some campers note the utility connections can be positioned quite far from certain sites. The campground can accommodate RVs, but potential visitors should be aware that many sites aren't perfectly level. The spaces between RV sites are notably tight, with some campers mentioning their picnic table was very close to neighboring sewer connections. For RVers concerned about noise, running air conditioning is recommended as the campground's proximity to I-95 means highway noise is audible, especially at night.
