York Beach Camper Park

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Open from May 15 through October 15, York Beach Camper Park sits within walking distance of Short Sands Beach in York, Maine, with full hookups available for RVs up to 64 feet. Electric, water, and sewer connections are on-site, along with showers, a dump station, and WiFi. The entrance may give a rough first impression, but reviewers consistently note that the grounds themselves feel tucked into a wooded setting.

Tree cover is a defining feature here. Sites vary in size, with some on the smaller side, and shade from surrounding trees helps moderate summer temperatures. As Mindie C. puts it, "You feel like you are in the Forest but so close to the ocean." That contrast between the wooded campground and the nearby coast is what draws many visitors back. The walk to Short Sands Beach takes roughly ten minutes on foot, making it easy to catch both sunrise and sunset from the shoreline.

Campfires are permitted, pets are welcome, and the staff receives consistent praise across reviews. Nearby alternatives include Cape Neddick Oceanside Campground to the northeast and Dixons Coastal Maine Campground to the north, both within the broader cluster of campgrounds near York Beach. York Beach Camper Park works best for campers who want coastal access without camping directly on exposed ground.

Hideaway

Don’t let the entrance turn you off. Once you get back into the campgrounds, it’s so cute. You are nestled in the woods. You feel like you are in the Forest but so close to the ocean. It’s calm and peaceful. The owners are so friendly and kind.

Friendly Campground, Great Location

We stayed here in June for the weekend. The staff are super friendly and it’s very close to the beach. We loved being able to walk down for sunset and sunrise each day! Some of the sites are rather small, but the one we stayed at was great.

Beautiful beach location

This is a beautiful beach location and convenient to many good things. Some shady sites, which keep the summer temps down.

Small but owners make it a great rv park

A small but trees all around rv park. This is no thrills with basic WiFi. It is about 10 min walk to short sands beach in York. There is plenty to do there and nice to be so close but feel away from it all.
