This campground is the perfect little summer getaway. The sites are secluded and spaced decently apart. They have many options of places to explore and things to do.
I stayed here for Memorial Day weekend. We had so much fun. They have a lagoon for kids, with built in water rafts in the middle for kids to jump in. They have scheduled events that occur including family and adult only fire truck rides around the campground. There are bonfires, shuffle board and corn hole tournaments and so many options for entertainment. They have a playground with a large tent for parents to sit under with picnic tables. Overall it is a fantastic place to stay. The showers are free too which is nice, no need to worry about quarters. You can walk down to the boat launch and check out the pretty view. Super kid, family and dog friendly.
We stayed at this campground so that we could float down the Saco river and back to our site! The first day and a half we stayed the campground was flooding due to heavy rains. The staff here were great and gave us a free nights stay. Once it was sunny the sites all drained quickly and it was so much fun. This campground is close to the river and has multiple beaches and spots to explore. There’s a playground for kids and a laundry room. You do have to pay for showers here, but they are a fair price. When you rent a tube to float they shuttle you up the river and you can go at your own pace and return the tubes whenever you float back to your site. Overall this is such a fun campground to stay at.
We stayed here in June for the weekend. The staff are super friendly and it’s very close to the beach. We loved being able to walk down for sunset and sunrise each day! Some of the sites are rather small, but the one we stayed at was great.
