Welcome to Acres of Wildlife Campground, a family-owned retreat nestled in the woods of Steep Falls, Maine. For over 45 years, we’ve offered a unique blend of wilderness adventure and creature comforts. Acres of Wildlife is a full-amenity campground with a wide range of lodging and campsite options designed for families, couples, and groups alike. Whether you bring your own tent/RV or prefer one of our themed rentals, we strive to make your stay comfortable and memorable.

We have over 200 campsites (tent, RV, trailer) including lakefront sites and full hookup sites. Campsite Photos+2Acres of Wildlife+2 Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Our rental units feature everything from classic cottages and cabins to whimsical Hobbit Houses, Pirate Ship homes, treehouses, stump houses, and more. Onsite recreation and amenities are extensive. Guests enjoy free fishing (no state license required) on Rainbow Lake, boating, swimming from our sandy beach, and scheduled family activities. For eating and shopping, we have an on-site restaurant/pub (Maria’s Restaurant, Chub Pub), bakery, snack shack, general store, ice, propane, and convenience supplies.
