Best Equestrian Camping near Denham Springs, LA

Not bad. It's connected to an equestrian center. If horses are your thing it's perfect. 2 miles from LSU, 3 miles from Baton Rouge, biking trails along Mississippi River levee. Water and electric, dump station, and a bathhouse. The bad... not many trees or wildlife other than horses. The bathhouse could use some work.

County equestrian and RV park close to downtown. Stayed here recently while attending an LSU football game. They have a shuttle that provides round trips to the stadium. Nothing fancy about Farr Park, just convenient if you love horses and football.

I would suggest BREC Farr Equestrian RV Park if you are interested in being close Baton Rouge or LSU. A typical fairgrounds type camping area. Sites have electric and water. Remote dump site available. Bike path trailhead is there, with extensive pathways on the levee.

Pull through site. On grass. Level. With water and 59 amp. Easy to get to. First come first serve so you can come as early as you like and then spend a full day exploring LSU and Baton Rouge. Friendly staff. Wifi at the recreation center. Horses grazing in near by paddock. Easy to bike on the levee to LSU and Baton Rouge.

This campground is so romantic with coral sunsets and country vibes. Spots are spacious and not crowded so you can spread out. Great paths for walking. Its hot but the bugs are not overwhelming. Close to the college and downtown. Perfect views of the horses I could watch them all day. 30/50 amp electric, water, pull through sites. No sewage but there is a dump station to empty on way out.  Bathrooms have restrooms and showers available. 8/10.

Land-O-Pines is a nice private RV park near Folsom and Covington. We stayed two nights because my daughter was in a horse competition at a nearby horse farm. The sites are mostly shady. The streets and sites are gravel and can get a little muddy in spots after a rain. The park was clean and quiet, and the staff was friendly. About half the sites are for permanent users. 

Stayed in pull-through campsite C69 which was shady and level. It was a gravel site. There was enough parking for my 34 ft TT and truck. Neighbors are nearby by not on top of you. The site included: picnic table on gravel, no fire ring. Utilities: 20/50A electric near the middle. The 20A receptacle looked like it had some minor burn marks. Water next to power pole, good pressure. Sewer near power pole with 4 non screw-on fitting. 

AT&T had 2 bars of LTE and Verizon full bars of LTE service. AT&T Speedtest: 30.8 Mbps down, 3.6 Mbps up. Verizon Speedtest: 4.5 Mbps down, 11.8 Mbps up. WiFi available, but did not use. Required a login. 

Would stay here again. We camped at Land-O-Pines Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Staff is amazing. There is a lot of fun things to do for the whole family, from swimming, water slide to playing bingo and a lot more.

Great site..we went for Halloween weekend and there were alot of activities and trick or treating for the kids..great campsite great memories

Older campground with small pool and older water slide but very homey. Shades and grass and dirt roads. Awesome creek that the kids have a blast in

I would give it a better review except it’s 50$ a night for a tent. We’ve averaged 20-30 bucks for the same. Other than price it’s a good place to stop.
