Kansas Country Inn & RV Park

Just off Highway 83 in northwest Kansas, Kansas Country Inn & RV Park provides a straightforward overnight stop for travelers crossing the High Plains. The campground sits adjacent to the highway, which means road noise is a constant presence throughout the day and night.

RV sites accommodate rigs up to 50 feet and come with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections. Sites are arranged in clusters of four around central utility pedestals, placing rigs close together with minimal spacing between units. The layout prioritizes efficiency over privacy, making this more suitable for quick overnight stays than extended camping. WiFi reaches throughout the property, and a bathhouse provides shower facilities, though availability can vary seasonally.

The property connects to a motel, giving campers access to additional amenities like a swimming pool. Staff members receive consistent praise from visitors for their helpfulness, particularly for late-night arrivals. However, the grounds present challenges for pet owners due to thorny burrs that stick to shoes and paws. Roni J. calls it a "perfect no fuss stop to nap and clean while passing through."

Campers seeking more space or quieter surroundings might consider High Plains Camping five miles north, which offers a different setting away from highway traffic.

Many campers appreciated the friendly staff and functional full hookups for convenient overnight stays. However, numerous guests pointed out issues with very close site spacing, thorny ground burrs, and highway noise.

Basic

, I had a hard time using T-Mobile because I seem to be in a dead spot, but I was able to use their Wi-Fi

Small yet convenient

Very friendly staff. Convenient for an overnight stay. Affordable. Thankful for electricity as it was cold. Watch for the thorny burrs that get all over shoes especially if you have a dog…. Would be very painful for them. RVs very close to one another. Never accessed the bathhouse yet one was available with a combo. Good WiFi

Pretty basic and inexpensive

The campers are right next to each other. They are arranged in groups of four around the central utility area. Everything works. There is a swimming, pool and showers and bathrooms.

Basic but served a purpose

Midnight stop to rest for a few hours. Basic, small setup for RVs. We used the electricity hookup, but it was too cold for us to hookup to water. Unsure if there was a sewer hookup as there was snow on the ground and we weren't about to go digging around to find out. Office attendant was friendly and polite to a few tired travelers.

An RV hotel...brilliant !!

Tried to get a campsite at a nearby place while traveling though, but showers and such were closed....was told about this place. Desk clerk was great. Got a level space to park, electric and bathrooms with a shower for $22. Perfect no fuss stop to nap and clean while passing through.
