Lakeview Campground - Historic Lake Scott State Park

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Lake Scott State Park sits in a corner of western Kansas where the geology shifts noticeably from the surrounding plains, and Lakeview Campground puts campers directly alongside that landscape. Sites have individual water hydrants, fire pits, and picnic tables, though not all fire pits include grates. Full hookups with electric, water, and sewer make it a workable stop for RVs. Toilets are not located within the campground itself; the nearest flush bathrooms and showers are roughly a third to a half mile away.

Several other campgrounds share the park, including Timber Canyon Campground — Historic Lake Scott State Park to the west and Boat Ramp Campsites — Historic Lake Scott State Park nearby. Sites vary in levelness, so reviewing the map on ReserveAmerica before booking pays off, especially for rigs that need a level pad.

Great Fall Camping

My girlfriend and I met here early in November for a few days. We were pleasantly surprised at the beauty and remoteness of the location. Both of us grew up in southeast Kansas and didn’t realize what a different geological and historical history the region contained. We will be returning

Scott Lake

Great little campground. Water hydrant at all the sights in our little camp area. Lots of space at each site with table and fire pit. Not all pits have grates. There is no toilet at this little camp area but there is flush bathrooms and showers within 1/2 mile.
