Colby WB Rest Area

There’s a dedicated area for campers; I arrived after dark and didn’t see it until the morning but still slept fine in a regular parking spot. Bathrooms and vending machines and a recorded weather report playing all night.

On a trip and didn’t feel like going too far off road looking for dispersed. This is probably one of the best overnight rest stops you could ask for. Only a few cars out on the loop and no usually rest stop bright lights. Road noise is what you would expect from passing traffic but not the usual rumbling of parked semis.

Good quick stop for restroom, dump station available. Trashcans, some picnic tables and grills.

Yes, there is the traffic but the we loved the loop. Parked by the water pump and filled up our fresh.

One of the better rest areas for an overnight stay. Drive past the parking spots and there is a loop for overnight camping. You get road noise, but that is to be expected. Clean rest rooms with room to change cloths if needed. Also has picnic tables, grill, and shade. I was not picky at midnight, but presently surprised.

 but with a few extra amenities. There's a dump station, but the flush hose leaks a bit. They have barbecues next to the covered picnic tables. "Camping or overnight parking" are specifically allowed but only for one night. We put up a tent. There's a list of rules posted next to the clean restrooms-- just common sense stuff and no mention of prohibiting tents. Our stay was Wednesday 5.24.23. Bring your earplugs or some good music if the noise of I-70 bothers you. Traffic was fairly light and there were only two other overnighters. The picnic tables could use a fresh coat of paint. Well-lit at night, which for me is a downside cuz I like dark skies. ha
