Mid-America Camp Inn

RV travelers navigating Interstate 70 across western Kansas will find Mid-America Camp Inn positioned directly adjacent to a truck stop in Goodland. The campground features level concrete pads with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections. Sites accommodate both RVs and tent campers, though pricing differs between the two options.

The facility operates under the management of a helpful owner who accommodates last-minute bookings and provides assistance to arriving guests. Concrete pads ensure level parking for RVs, while scattered trees offer some coverage throughout the property. The restrooms and shower facilities show signs of wear and may need maintenance updates. WiFi service appears inconsistent based on recent visitor experiences.

Location next to the truck stop creates a trade-off for overnight travelers. RV campers typically find the road noise manageable, but tent campers report hearing truck traffic throughout the night. "Definitely not great but worked for us because of the location," notes one reviewer who appreciated the convenient highway access despite the noise factor. The grass areas contain some burrs that can be problematic for pets.

For travelers seeking alternatives, Goodland KOA sits northeast of town. Mid-America Camp Inn serves its primary function as a practical overnight stop for cross-country travelers who prioritize location and full hookups over quiet surroundings.

Visitors often highlighted the helpful owner and level concrete pads, making it a functional overnight stop off I-70. However, noise from the adjacent truck stop significantly impacts the experience, especially for tent campers.

Okay for a stop out west or east.

Definitely not great but worked for us because of the location. For one you are right next to a truck stop which may not be bad if you are in a RV, but in a tent you can hear every truck the whole night. They have RV and tent sites that’s are basically the same but cost changes. 25 for tent site and like 45 I think for RV.

Overnight stop

Reasonably priced, one of few campgrounds in western Kansas off of 70. Level concrete pads, fhu. Campground manager/owner? Lady was very kind and helpful. Last minute booking for us with no issues. If you are looking for a stop on the way to or from Colorado or other western states, stop in for the night and support this campground.

Middle of corn fields

This camp is run by a sweet older lady and it has level concrete pads and some trees. The Rr's and showers need a lot of plumbing and patch work
