Shady and free, this small US Forest Service campground sits directly off the highway in Alpine, Idaho, giving drive-in access without a rough road approach. Four to six sites have picnic tables and some fire rings, a small stream runs through the property, and tree cover keeps sites shaded through the day. No bathrooms or potable water are available, so campers need to arrive self-sufficient. Cell reception is decent. Campers exploring campgrounds near Caribou National Forest will find this one among the few free options in the area. For a site with hookups, Wolf Den RV Park is a nearby alternative.
