## Overview

Willow Flat is a popular campground, located on the banks of the Cub River, in southeastern Idaho. It sits in a pretty valley, surrounded by scenic mountain views, at an elevation of 6,300 feet. Visitors enjoy fishing the river and exploring numerous forested trails.

## Recreation

The Cub River provides great fishing for wild cutthroat and hatchery rainbow trout.  
  
Numerous trails begin within the campground, including a 1/2-mile nature trail to Sam Parkinson Spring.   
  
The multi-use Cub River Trail also begins at the campground, offering great hiking, mountain and dirt biking, as well as off-road vehicle and horseback riding. The trail accesses the Highline Trail, the North Fork of St. Charles Creek and the Cub River Guard Station.

## Facilities

This large campground contains six group campsites than can accommodate 24 to 100 people. Numerous single-family campsites are available at the campground as well.   
  
Some single and group sites have picnic shelters. A few single sites must be accessed via footbridges over the river from the parking spur.   
  
Amenities available at the campground include vault toilets and drinking water. An amphitheater with bleacher seating and a cement platform is located at group site G03. Roads and parking spurs within the campground are gravel.

## Natural Features

A mixed forest of pines, spruce and hardwoods provides partial shade and beautiful scenery. The banks of the Cub River are lined with dense stands of willow, a favorite food of local moose. Deer and elk are often seen in the area as well.

Bunchgrass yurt is a 16-foot diameter yurt that provides shelter and comfort for non-motorized winter pursuits for up to six people.  Sleeping is provided on bunks, equipped with six nice, thick Paco Pads. The yurt is equipped with a wood stove for heat and melting snow for water, a snowmelt pot (only to be used for drinking water), a two burner propane stove for cooking, LED lanterns, and all the utensils, silverware, cookware and crockery needed for your meals. There are drip cones and paper filters for coffee making and to filter snowmelt if so desired.  There is ample TP. Paper towels are stocked, but some groups run through rolls in days and may or may not be there.  Ample cloth towels are stocked.

Private privies are set off from the yurts for nature's call. These pit toilets can be taxed towards the end of the season, so there is a strict policy to not put toilet paper in the privy.  Instead, used TP must be placed in paper bags after use (paper bags are provided).  At the end of your stay, or as needed, burn the bag in the wood stove (with a small fire, of course).  Future guests will appreciate your compliance.  And there is ample hand sanitizer.

     Nestled in the beautiful Cub River Canyon, Cub River Lodge& RV Park is a peaceful, rural family-owned lodge/campground about 15 minutes' drive from the quaint town of Preston, ID, 25 minutes from Logan, Utah and only two hours from airports in Salt Lake City, UT and Pocatello, ID.  

     Located within 1/4 mile of Cache National Forest playground…ATV, hiking, biking, horse,& snowmobile trails have intrigued many an outdoor enthusiast! One might also enjoy plenty of fishing, boating, skiing and tubing in nearby rivers, lakes& reservoirs. Wintertime sports include snowmobiling, snowshoeing, in the National Forest, or tubing and snow skiing at nearby Cherry Peak or Beaver Mountain Resorts. 

     The Cub River Lodge & RV Park is actually built on the historic "watercress springs" area, next door to the famous, mystic Deer Cliff Mountain. The views are breath-taking and the nights very peaceful as you sit around a campfire, looking at the spectacular starlit sky, while listening to the amazing sounds of nature and the nearby Cub River bubbling over the rocks. 

     Cub River Lodge is a beautiful, spacious 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom vacation rental cabin. This comfortable Lodge has 6,700 square feet of living space and can sleep a min. of 63 people. It has a large kitchen/prep area with 3 separate stoves/ovens, a stainless steel island, 2 full size refrigerators and all the necessary cooking& eating utensils. The main focal point of this Lodge is the large “conference center” with hardwood floors,(look like a dance floor, with ability to seat over 150), complete with surround sound and audio/visual capabilities. The adjoining theatre room has a big-screen TV, Clavinova piano, foosball table, with plenty of comfortable chairs and couches. The front entry of the Lodge sports another very large sitting area where guests can gather to converse and relax from the laughter& chatter in other rooms. A small dining room attached to the kitchen will accommodate up to 30 guests, with overflow into the conference center. 

     Open year-round, one can come relax, renting a room or the whole lodge. Cub River Lodge is perfect for groups of all sizes and ages, be it family reunions, youth retreats, scrap bookers, quilters, dancers or business seminars, you name it! Many have also enjoyed our facilities for indoor/outdoor weddings and as a great sweetheart get-away!  

     Cub River RV Park offers(11) full hook-up RV Sites (30 or 50 amp), and lots of dry camping area for RVs, "hip camping", tenting, etc. We can handle large family or group gatherings if booking early. Plenty of clear, mountain spring water, grassy area and shade. The Lodge may have suites or whole lodge rentals available for your larger group gatherings also if desired.  

     Outdoor activities include volleyball, tetherball,(a must for Napoleon Dynamite Country!), a horseshoe pit and water play. Nearby lakes and reservoirs provide hours of entertainment, fishing, boating, jet-skiing, and tubing. Tubing down the "Oneida Narrows" has been a highlight of many groups. And one must not forget to mention that for the adventurous type, hunkering for some off-road escapades, there are miles of groomed ATV, biking, hiking, horse, snowshoe& snowmobile trails within 1/4 mile of Cub River Lodge& RV Park in one of the most amazing "outdoor playgrounds", the Cache National Forest. Guests can bring their "toys" along with them, riding right from the RV Park!  Wintertime sports include snowmobiling, snowshoeing, in the National Forest, or tubing and snow skiing at nearby Cherry Peak or Beaver Mountain Resorts.

     The Deer Cliff Inn restaurant next door serves a wide range of hot, yummy evening meals during the summer months. Onsite catering for groups can also be arranged, or one can find a large array of good eating places, retail shops and supermarkets that can be found within 12-25 miles in Preston, ID or Logan, UT.

## Overview

Albert Moser Campground is situated on the banks of the Cub River about nine miles from Preston, Idaho. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the late 1930s, the campground is just off Cub River Road, at an elevation of 6,000 feet. Visitors enjoy trout fishing in the river and exploring local trails.

## Recreation

The Cub River provides excellent trout fishing. Anglers enjoy fly-fishing for wild cutthroat and hatchery rainbows.  
  
Numerous hiking, biking, horse and off-road vehicle trails crisscross the Cub River area, offering great opportunities to get out and see the beautiful surroundings.

## Facilities

The campground contains six single-family and three double-family sites, all with picnic tables and campfire rings. Some sites also have grills. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided. Roads and parking spurs throughout the campground are dirt. A host is located five miles up Cub River Road at Willow Flat Campground.

## Natural Features

The banks of the gentle Cub River are lined with dense stands of cottonwood trees, which offer pleasant shade in the summer and bright autumn color.

Many people enjoy the solitude and primitive experience of camping away from developed campgrounds and other campers. Dispersed camping is the term used for camping anywhere in the National Forest outside of a designated campground. Dispersed camping means no toilets, no treated water, and no fire grates are provided.  

Camping in dispersed areas on the Forest is allowed for fourteen (14) days in any thirty (30) day consecutive period.  Campers must move off Forest after reaching the 14-day limit.  The stay limit also applies to all camping equipment (tents, chairs, ATVs, ATV trailers, etc.), even if used by a different person or group.  Camping equipment must be removed by the end of the fourteen (14) day stay limit or the equipment may be impounded.  Stay limits are implemented to reduce impacts to vegetation and wildlife habitat, as well as provide access to popular campsite areas for other visitors.

## Overview

Tony Grove Campground is situated on the mountainside above beautiful Tony Grove Lake, about 19 miles east of Logan, Utah, at an elevation of 8,100 feet. This scenic area is known for its vivid summer wildflowers and excellent trails.

## Recreation

Tony Grove Lake is less than a half-mile from the campground. It provides great fishing and canoeing opportunities. A self-guided nature trail circles the lake. Numerous additional hiking trails set off from the day-use site at the lake, accessing the Mount Naomi Wilderness. The popular 4.5-mile White Pine Lake Trail begins here as well.

## Facilities

This primitive campground offers 32 single camp sites and 1 double camp site, some of which are accessible. Each site offers a picnic table and fire ring. A few sites have partial lake views. This campground has a mix of both vault and flush restroom facilities. Roads and parking spurs are gravel. There is access to Tony Grove Lake and to the backcountry trails. Tony Grove is a high elevation campground.

## Natural Features

A colorful profusion of geraniums, paintbrush, columbine, lupine, daisies and mountain sunflowers stretches across the meadows and throughout the campground from approximately mid-July through mid-August. Engelmann spruce, white pines and aspens forest the site, offering plentiful shade. 

## Nearby Attractions

Only 25 miles away, Bear Lake, is often called the Caribbean of the Rockies for its intense turquoise-blue water. As visitors catch their first glimpse of the lake, they marvel at its color and wonder what makes the lake so blue. The unique color is due to the reflection of the limestone deposits suspended in the lake. The state park offers a developed marina with paved boat ramps and boat slips. In addition, there are boat ramps at several other places around the lake. Each season lends its own characteristic to the lake. Year-round, visitors enjoy a number of recreational and cultural activities. Experience the rush of snowmobiling in the nearby mountains. Navigate your personal watercraft across the turquoise water. Feel the rod-bending excitement of a Bear Lake cutthroat on the end of your fishing line. Sail off into the sunset. ## Charges & Cancellations

**Change and Cancellation Policies and Fees**

  * Overnight and Day Use Facilities: To ensure fairness, reservation arrival or departure dates may not be changed beyond the booking window until 18 days after booking the reservation.
  * Camping / Day Use: A $10.00 service fee will apply if you change or cancel your reservation (including campsites, cabins, lookouts, group facilities, etc.). The $10.00 service fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
  * You can cancel or change reservations through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.



**Late Cancellations**

  * Overnight and Day Use Facilities: Late cancellations are those cancelled between 12:01 a.m. (Eastern) on the day before arrival and check out time on the day after arrival.
  * Individual Campsites: If a customer cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival they will be charged a $10.00 service fee and will also forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a single night's reservation will forfeit the entire use fee but no cancellation fee will apply.
  * Cabins / Lookouts: Customers will be charged a $10.00 cancellation fee and forfeit the first night's use fee if a cabin or lookout reservation is cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date. Cancellations for a single night's use will not be assessed a service fee.
  * Group Facility: If a customer cancels a group overnight facility reservation within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date they will be charged the $10.00 service fee and forfeit the first night's use fee. Cancellations for a single night's use will not be assessed a service fee.
  * Group Day Use Area: If a customer cancels a group day use facility reservation within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date, they will forfeit the total day use fee with no service fee charge.



**No-Shows**

  * Camping / Day Use: A camping no-show customer is one who does not arrive at a campground and does not cancel the reservation by check-out time on the day after the scheduled arrival date. Reserved campsites and group overnight facilities will be held until check-out time on the day following your scheduled arrival. Group day-use facilities will be held until check-in time on your scheduled arrival date.
  * If a customer does not arrive at the campground or group facility by check-out time the day after arrival or does not cancel the reservation by the times listed under "Late Cancellations" above, the customer may be assessed a $20.00 service fee and forfeit use fees.



**Refunds**

  * Customers must request refunds no later than 14 days after the scheduled departure date. Recreation.gov will not grant refund requests after 14 days of departure.
  * Reservation Fee: For some facilities, tours or permits an additional reservation fee is charged. For some overnight and day-use facilities, an additional non-refundable reservation fee may apply. The non-refundable reservation fee for tours and tickets is $1.00. The non-refundable reservation fee for permits varies by location.
  * Refunds for Bankcard Purchases: Refunds for bank card payments will be issued as a credit to the original bank card.
  * Refunds for Check or Cash Purchases: Refunds for Recreation.gov payments made by check or money order, and cash payments at selected campgrounds will be issued a check refund. A refund will be processed within 30 days of receipt and approval. Please Note: Refund requests made during or after departure can only be processed when approved by the facility management staff based upon local policy.
  * Refunds for Emergency Closures: In the event of an emergency closure, the Recreation.gov team will attempt to notify users and offer alternate dates (as appropriate). If this is not possible, reservations will be cancelled and all fees paid will be refunded. Reservation fees for free tickets are non-refundable in the event of an emergency closure.

Cloverleaf Campground is situated on St. Charles Creek in a scenic canyon in the forests of southeast Idaho. 

## Recreation

Nearby, the North Fork Trail and its associated trails access the Highline Trail #316. The Highline Trail is part of the National Trail System and is the area's premier trail. It stretches 55 miles along the backbone of the Wasatch Mountains and is open to hikers, mountain bikers, horseback riders and motorcyclists, attracting trail users from around the world.  
  
The Idaho Department of Fish and Game manages the river fisheries, providing excellent fishing most of the year, including in St. Charles Creek. In-season big game hunting is also a popular activity.

The campground offers 18 family sites, as well as one group site that can accommodate up to 100 people. Amenities include flush toilets and drinking water. Roads to and within the site are paved. 

## Natural Features

Pines and aspens forest the area, providing partial shade, and summer wildflowers dot the landscape. St. Charles Creek flows gently past the campground. 

## Nearby Attractions

Minnetonka Cave, one of only two developed caves in the Forest Service, is a few miles from the campground. Guided cave tours are scheduled every 30 minutes daily from early June until Labor Day.  
  
The Bear Lake National Wildlife Refuge is just north of Bear Lake, offering excellent bird watching.  
  
Bear Lake's Raspberry Days Festival occurs the first weekend in August every year, with a parade, fireworks, craft booths and a rodeo.
