Timberline Glamping at Kissimmee Prairie is a private glamping concession operating inside Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park near Okeechobee, Florida. The property offers 5 furnished safari-tent glampsites within one of Florida's largest and most ecologically intact dry-prairie preserves. It is well-suited for couples, families, and nature enthusiasts seeking a nature-immersive experience without sacrificing modern comfort.
Facilities
Each glampsite is a fully furnished safari tent with hotel-style beds and bedding, a Keurig coffee maker, mini-refrigerator, A/C and heating unit, rugs, lamps, diffuser, and electrical outlets. The outdoor portion of each site includes 2 hammocks, a fire pit with charcoal grill and cooking grate, exterior string lights, 2 camp chairs, and a picnic table. A bathhouse with restrooms, showers, and laundry is located a short walk from the sites and is maintained by Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park staff. Firewood and fire starters are available as add-ons at booking.
Recreation
Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park offers over 100 miles of multi-use dirt roads and trails suitable for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The preserve is internationally recognized as Florida's first Dark Sky Park (designated 2016), providing exceptional stargazing with the Milky Way visible to the naked eye. Wildlife viewing opportunities include rare species such as the grasshopper sparrow, crested caracara, and burrowing owl.
