River Oaks RV Resort

Avoid this rv park completely disappointed, when I did the reservations we pay extra for a water front when we got there the office was closed so they have a number you have to call for some volunteer to come and let you know where you site is so she came out and give us a paper with the property map and WiFi which didn’t work at all , the spot she gave us it was a challenge to park I told her that if there was another better site and that we book by the pond and she basically ignored me and told me to park in the site she told me , the pictures on the website look amazing but when you get there is not those might be old pictures lol, the street was flooded so couldn’t walk around, the property is not taking care of ,

This is a residential RV parking lot. There are no standards for living. We felt like we were trespassing. Each site was run down, moldy, dirty. Our neighbor screamed “shut up” often. Which made sitting outside worse than the view. I wish I could provide pictures to help campers understand. This was NOT a relaxing getaway. 1 star for sewer hookup at site. 1 star for fenced in dog area. Should be less 1 star because even with a water filter the water was yellow and cloudy.

What a dump. Parked & went to the office. Sign said they should be open. Obviously they are not. A resident shows us our "site". The electric box is on the wrong side & the cord barely reaches by running it under the RV. Never could get the sewer hose to screw in tight. Sites are on top of each other, some at odd angles to get as many in as possible. Showers are gross. There is a small pond in the middle & it backs up to the Little Manatee river & has a small dock to fish off. But that's about all there is to do.
