Great county park

$12 per night for seniors. Decent restrooms and shower. No privacy between sites, but our site (not on the water) was spacious.

Great water access, bugs can be a problem

We spent two nights at E G Simmons County Park in Ruskin, Florida. It is first come, first served, no reservations but a quick call will let you know if they have sites available. Many sites are along the water with a small access point in the campsite. The saltwater access is to an exceptionally beautiful area of Tampa Bay with a surrounded by mangroves to explore by motor boat or kayak with excellent fishing. Many spots to fish from shore or beach along the park. Our campsite (101) was shady but many along the water do not offer shade. Bugs can be a problem if you are sensitive to them. No-see-ums were bothersome in the early morning and around dusk. A great saltwater recreation park with friendly personnel.
