Goat House Farm is a Farmher run 501(c)(3) farm in a rural area of Tallahassee on the beautiful Lake Talquin. The farm has its humble beginnings in the summer of 05 with four acres, four goats, and four chickens. Founded on the love of animals and a passion for sustainability, we remain committed to compassionate practices and the most natural care of our land and animals as possible.

As stewards of the land and herd, we believe we have a responsibility to share nature's blessings. We offer several agritourism opportunities on the farm, from farmstays to day visits. It is our goal to create a space where our visitors can have fun and learn about the animals who share that space. We also strive to serve as a valuable resource for first time goat owners. To support that endeavor, we sell chicken eggs, specialty cottage goods, honey, and natural goat milk and honey products. We also sell raw goat milk (for pet consumption only, as per Florida law).

We are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in our programming and partners. We welcome all races, abilities, ethnicities, backgrounds, orientations & identities.

High Bluff - Joe Budd WMA and Lake Talquin State Forest

Quiet and peaceful, if no one is there.

Mixed feelings about this campground.  It has too many sites too close together, but if few people  are there it is peaceful.  We stayed on a weeknight.  Several people used the boat ramp, but only one other camper. So the night was quiet.  I could see how it could be well used for day picnics and fishing and could become quite noisy. The boat ramp is separated from the camp a bit, and it was not noisy.

Not much view of lake from sites, but the lake is pretty from the fishing pier and boat launch.  A bit of trash in some sites but not too bad.  I'm guessing someone does not come and check on this site every day.  We were in a van and did not try the pit toilets.

It is about 3 miles from the main road, one mile of speed bumps, two of dirt, but it is level and well packed.

      Quaint

Nothing fancy, but a nice spot to stay. They do have bathrooms and shower which are clean. They also have FHU, W/E and primitive. It is located on a busy HWY 98 so there is traffic noise during the day. St. Marks wildlife refuge is right across the street and Wakulla Springs is about 10 minutes down the road.

      Great spot on Lake Talquin

Small campsites but it's a small campground. Picnic table and fire ring at each site. 2 out house style restrooms. Cleaned weekly. Took a long dirt road to get back to campground and got lost 1st time going in. Have stayed there twice since I have family living in Tallahassee. Once in spring and once in fall. Found tics on me both times so beware. Chiggers got on me too. That's just camping in the woods. Will definitely be making future trips back.

      Hwy noise

The restrooms and showers were nice and clean. There was only one picnic table in a tent area, and it was not in good shape. The road noise and night made it difficult to sleep at night

      Fun filled 4 night stay

This campground has so much to offer for the kids. Between fishing, the pool, the water park, mining for gems and the 3 playgrounds around the park our son didn’t run out of activities. That’s not to mention to activities the campground plans for the weekends that they write on a board each morning with the times.

      Lots to do

There's a water slide pool and lazy river. Cabins are pretty nice, there are atv trails if you have your own atv. You can rent golf carts, there's a store, games (not all of them work tho) pool table. Lots of fun for the whole family. Some of the staff had attitudes when we were there but still had a great time

      Such fun!

We had such a fun time camping at the goat farm. Where you literally camp with goats. The male goats hang out right beside you and your tents. (Be sure to keep your tents closed or they will sleep with you too, ha!) The kids absolutely loved it. They cried when it was time to leave and told all the animals bye. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We would love to go and stay there again!

      Overnight

Called outside Atlanta to check for openings, the lady said yes come on down. I booked online and received an email in about 5 minutes, that I would be charged by the credit card I put in. I was told my reservation would be to the left of the door in the night reservations spot. We arrived around 6pm to find other reservations but not mine. It was no biggy lots of spots and easy to find your way around.

      Weekend stay

This “resort” had great reviews so we decided to stay there while visiting Wild Adventures. All sites were pull throughs which I was happy about because I went without my husband and I can’t back well. When we got there we were in a site directly behind the office and it was super narrow. With my long camper I could not make the turn and keep the trailer in the pad. I ended up still having to back up to get my trailer wheels to stay on the pad. There was a tree very close on the passenger side as well and I ended up extremely close to it but could not get away from it due to the size of the camper and needing to be able to have room for my slides in the front. Also the sewer hookups were at the very back of the site. Even with 2 ten foot hoses I could not reach the hookup and ended up having to find a dump station later. They did have a dump station but I’m front of the office but with the way the driveway exited and the length of my trailer it would have been extremely hard to turn it to and go back in the entrance so I just left without dumping. The place did have a bath house which was clean and conscientious to our site since we were right beside the office which it was attached to. There was also a pool which looked nice but we were not able to use because it was closed both nights by the time we could have gone to use it. It would have been great if it stayed open later. There was also a playground in the front of the park near the road laundry was available as well. Despite the fact that cable was advertised as being available they no longer offered it so be prepared to use a streaming service or watch movies. There was a small store with supplies and souvenirs. The office staff were very nice and helpful. The park was clean and kept up. If I had to stay in the area again however I would probably find a campground with larger sites. Also because my trailer was so long and I was driving a F350 I had to park angled at the back of the site off the pad slightly otherwise my vehicle would have been in the road.

      Great stop for the night.

This was a nice little campground if you are just passing through. Dont be fooled by the words resort. Far from that. The pool closes when the office closes, which sucks because in the summer there is still 3 hrs of daylight left (a little disheartening).

However staff was super nice, campground is clean, showers were great!

      Ragan Family Campground

      Outdated and overpriced

This was our second time coming to Ragans. Last year I said I wouldn’t be back but we decided to give it another chance. The campground is outdated with what appears to be no attempts at bringing it up to par. We had at least two instances of power outages due to the breaker tripping which is understanding due to the 100° temps but less than ideal and could probably be prevented with updates. Wi-Fi is advertised but you can’t access it which I usually don’t care but cell signal is so bad you need it to communicate. The playground was dangerous with large holes in the metal. The lazy river was infested with dirty bandaids from one day to the next, same ones from the day before not getting cleaned out.

      Nice, small waterfront CG

Nice little CG on the bay with a good number of direct bayfront sites. Some with pine trees for shade. Clean bathrooms. Swimming pool. Small market/ general store within walking distance.

      cool shade & critters

There's an adorable, and useful, store.. but i guess‽ because the lady running it had already put our packet outside on the 'late arrivals board' we sure felt less than welcomed when we pulled up around 4PM. I guess I bought guilt-offering peanut brittle. The pool closes whenever the store does (its posted & printed that way). Our pull-thru was level cement, maybe 68', which is more than we needed, surrounded by dirt that behaved like baked clay, and trees so wooly with spanish moss' you wonder when fleecing day is. There's a unique clause in what you sign here; you're not to rescue or destroy any wildlife. They give you the # to animal control. We DID observe many twitterpated squirrels and hear and see some lovely birds in the canopy. Lots of ants, too.

      Nice site

No complaints about this site; plenty of campsites to pick from even with about 6 other campers; space to spread out from others. Good for primitive tent camping. Had a fire pit with grill and picnic table. Right on the lake with pier access and boat ramp- pretty cool spot. Only lost a star because of previous campers leaving some trash behind.

      Lovely lake view

For a 26" tt the spot was just enough, a little rough to back into. Entirely worth it. If you're looking for a peaceful, quiet place this is it. Be sure to fill your water before arrival as there is no spigot. Full primitive. The vault toilet is pretty gnarly. Still a lovely place to stay. Bring your fishing pole

      Quiet & Beautiful

4 stars for no water or electric hookups.. Also I don't do spiders and they are all over the place here.. And HUUUUGEEE at that. Fishing dock is nice and you can see lots of gators. I don't recommend swimming in the water, its pretty murky. Nice and shady spots and you can reserve ahead of time. Typically empty. We stayed a whole week and afew people came in and out to fish and tent camp. Stayed to ourselves.

      Seems unorganized

I have called twice now to be told that they are unable to book my stay because the supervisor is away till the 12th. Than I'm told the second time I called that I could call tomorrow and maybe um um oh Diana could approve a reservation for me. Both young ladies was very sweet however they seem to not have much information for customers calling to book a 5 month site.

      Great Stopover

This is a great stopover since it has easy access to I-75 on the FL-GA line. The sites are shady and have many pull through concrete pad sites that are well maintained. The only reason I have given it a 4 star review, because of the traffic noise, but that should be expected.

Reagan family working hard to restore this park...waterslide, bounce houses, arcade, pools, disc golf, etc ..they have something for everyone. We love the sites on one of the stocked fishing ponds. On site store fully equiped and great coffee and ice cream. This was first campground we went tent camping in!

      Kids Dream Canpground

We RV camped site 10 and it was very spacious sitting right on the lake. This site does not have full hookups but the dump station was half a block away and easy to use on the way out. This is such a great place for people with ATVs. We didn’t have one so we just watched with major jealousy as people took to the trails and came back muddy. There were a TON of kids so our kids had a blast running around. There is close zero cell reception and they have wifi but we really weren’t able to connect and use it. Very spotty. Madison Blue spring is a quick drive and SO beautiful. In all, lots of people lots of cool ATVs to check out, a great little store, hilarious karaoke, clean grounds (with trash pick up all day!). This is a great place If you are cool with lots of people having a great time. If you want solitude in nature, not your spot.
