Great Value, Perfect Hot Springs Access

Great location, close to Durango and right across from the hot springs. Convenient gas station and grocery store less than 5 minutes away, but if you're buying a lot of groceries, I’d recommend going somewhere closer to Durango as the store across the highway is a bit pricey. Excellent access to streams for anglers

Normal Rv park next to a Hot spring resort.

The campsite was pretty basic but it was a short drive to purgatory ski resort and across the street from a hot springs resort. Durango was a fun time and would recommend if looking for a spot close to all the fun.

Nice but small campground

Small older park 27spaces. Nice owners. Your about 5 miles north of Durango right off hwy 550. Beautiful view of mountains. Park has FHU with back in, pull in, and pull thru sites. Next time through here this will definitely be our first choice. We camped here in the middle of may in a motorhome.

Bad Pedestals. Use caution.

These people had pedestals with faulty wiring. Fried my $300 surge protector. Told me they couldn't move us to another site because they had several bad pedestals. Would not give me my money back.

Simple and no frills, friendly, but a bit noisy

We were on our way to up Silverton but couldn't make it before dark so we found Westerly. Bonus points in that the hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating for us; we needed to extend our stay a couple hours because of virtual schooling on the road. They allowed us to stay until the "regular" for our spot #5 showed up, but they ended up canceling anyway. We were at the edge of the campground backed up to a stream which was nice and provided some nature sounds. However, the grounds sat very close to the highway and also the road behind up to the springs. There was frequent noise from annoying drivers. Not the campgrounds fault, but definitely impacted the experience a bit.

The spots inside the circle drive seemed much more packed in than the spots on the outside.  One thing to note, at least at our site, was that the water/electric were shared with the neighbor, and the site on our front side was the same. This resulted in a nice front-side experience for us as we weren't looking at (or smelling) the rig next to us.

Great people great spot

This is both my first review, but also my first ever RV trip. This is a simple campground, no bathrooms or showers, but they do have full laundry facilities. Westerly is a small 24 spot full hook up RV park on the north end of Durango Colorado. Why did I give it 5 stars? The hosts are wonderful people who are friendly, welcoming and helpful. They maintain the property and it’s impeccable. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit, there is a dog run and across the street is the newly remodeled Durango Hot Springs. Worth a night or a full week visit.

Big Nope

Did have full hookups. Campers stacked on top of each other. No showers or bathrooms. Very urban feeling.
