Buckaroo Bunkhouse Camping

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

A creek runs alongside the property at Buckaroo Bunkhouse Camping, a drive-in campground in Buckaroo Bunkhouse that sits in the Midland area of Colorado at roughly 9,000 feet in elevation. The setup includes a fun trailer-style accommodation, and reviewers note there's enough space for groups of four or more, with room for kids to spread out. At $70 per night, the site provides electric hookups, drinking water, showers, and WiFi, making it a practical base for those who want connectivity without roughing it entirely.

Cleanliness stands out in the reviews. One camper described the bathroom as "squeaky-clean" and the kitchen as "pristine," which is a practical detail worth noting for those who prioritize well-kept facilities. The host is noted as responsive and proactive, with clear check-in instructions, which tends to reduce arrival-day friction. Cell service specifics aren't confirmed, but WiFi is available on-site.

Pets are welcome here. Dogs traveled with at least one recent group without issue, and the campground explicitly accommodates them. Campfires are allowed, and picnic tables are on-site. Quietness came up in reviews, though the campground has hosted multiple guests, so expect some activity during peak summer weekends. Those planning a longer trip through central Colorado can also look at campgrounds around Midland or nearby options like Peakview Pines RV Camping to round out an itinerary. Reservations are available, and booking ahead makes sense for summer dates.

Great mountain views.

Keith's review: Absolutely wonderful host. Bring just your food and clothes. Everything else is provide, and then even more so. Tina's dogs and mine played well together. Could not be any more quiet location. So calming. Tina and David were easy to chat with during the evenings. Bathroom and water situation is a bit of a challenge, but heard they are working on it very soon. I'd go back in a heart beat. It's quant and small, and worth the price. Great mountain views.

Reminiscent of a visit to grandma's house

This was my first experience with this platform, and I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional hospitality. The host was incredibly well-prepared, making the stay feel safe and cozy, reminiscent of a visit to grandma's house. The friendly dogs were a delightful bonus, greeting us warmly a few times. The value for the price is outstanding. Paradise Cove is just a 15-minute drive away, and the hike Tina recommended offered breathtaking views. I will definitely choose Tina's place again.
