Great RV Park

This place has everything! Bowling, an amazing pool and hot tubs, super clean facilities, full hookups, rent an airstream or chuckwagon for the weekend, stay in a tiny home - really, there’s so much to do especially for families. Our site (308) had an outdoor kitchen area, nice firepit and chairs, and outdoor table and chairs.

Great place!

Huge place! We loved our 6 nights here. Set up like a Disney property but in the mountains. It’s not even 1/3 full & feels great but at full capacity it could feel very overwhelming. Very nice bathroom/shower houses, nice pool area & common grounds. Restaurant had good food, happy hour drinks & live music, nice fire pits. Will definitely be back. The employees could be more helpful.

Shh…it’s that good

My wife and I loved staying here so much leaving was sweet sorrow. I can honestly say, I’d like to keep this one a secret. The bartenders were great! Some of the other help seemed to be a bit young and inexperienced so sometimes it’s hard to get the higher end service this place could deliver.

Resort is not an understatement

This place is huge, beautiful, and nice. The showers were clean. There are all kinds of things to do on the grounds, plus you have quick and easy access to the Rocky Mountain National Park, Arapaho National Forest, and Roosevelt National Forest.

Lots of fun to be had!

Beautiful campsite with pool, arcade, bowling, kayak rentals, awesome gym…so much more! The kids will be entertained here, and it’s a short drive to Rocky Mountain National park. Only a few negatives..,1) we had to pay $30 extra to “secure” our campsite spot, otherwise the one we picked could be given to someone else. This is the only campground on the vacation (we did 8 campgrounds) that required this. 2) there’s only 2 washer/dryer laundromats, with a total of 10 washers. For a campground of this size, there needs to be more. We had to wait 30 minutes the two times we did laundry. 3) I would say about half of the arcade games were not working. All in all…I would recommend this campground. I can’t wait to see what it looks like in 15 years or so when all of the newly planted trees have matured!

I’m not even proud of how much I loved this place

I’m a mountain girl! Like grab your back pack and hike in! Then we had kids and splurged on a camper... and now this place has me over here laying pool side... drink in hand, head over heels about glamping. Seriously I loved this so much. They have an amazing pool! Bowling alley, arcade, restaurant, bars (yes more than one!) they had live music, they have fishing, and dog parks, bike rentals, daily trash pick up from your campsite, firewood delivery, play grounds, golf carts... it is a little close together with out any trees of coverage BUT the pros far (FAR FAR FAR) out weigh that one con.

Amazing vacation

Stayed here over Memorial Day weekend for 4 days 3 nights and couldn't have had a better experience (except for the rain all day Sunday) but even then, it gave us a great opportunity to enjoy our camper.
Multiple restaurants, clean bathrooms (wish there was one more restroom facility toward the back end of the campground because it can get busy and you have to wait in the morning and at night. Nice fire pits and paved patio spaces. Good space between units. Really close to Lake Granby and Willow Creek for some great fishing and also a pond on site for fishing as well. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back.

Great for families/pets

River Run is our favorite place to stay when visiting RMNP. We have stayed here on two occasions and will be bringing family with us this July. Great dog parks, bike trails, bowling alley, arcade, swimming pools, playgrounds and very clean laundry rooms. They also have activities planned during your stay. The RV sites are well spaced, although it is a newer campground so landscaping is young. We have also stayed in a 2 bedroom villa, but had to leave early due to wildfires. My kids are always excited to visit River Run.

Glamping

We took our new camper here to get a full service hook up. We didn’t want to worry about anything except the systems in the camper. Later in the season we got a free day of we paid for two days. For a pull through it was only $67+tax per night.

Arcade, restaurant, mini bowling alley (free), playground, dog parks, pool, hiking trails both paved and unpaved, and a general store (our 25’ fresh water hose was too short. Needed about 29’ so it was nice to have a store on property.)

It is a huge place so I would recommend a mode of transportation like a bike. I have an electric skateboard which was perfect.

COVID shut the hot tubs down but they have them. One of the restaurants was closed either for COVID or that it was later in the season.

While we plan on camping mainly off the grid it was a real nice glamping getaway.

Awesome!

Great place to visit! Came To visit Rocky Mountain but couldn’t wait to get back to river run to relax. Friendly staff and very clean! Construction didn’t bother us and highly recommend!

Not your typical campground

Wow! This is like the Disneyland of campgrounds.

As of July 2020 this campground still has some construction and development happening in the immediate area.

PROS This place has it all! Pool, hot tubs, bar/restaurant, general store, arcade, mini bowling alleys, lake for paddle boarding, access to fishing on the Colorado River. Views are beautiful and a very easy drive from Denver. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

We booked on a package and received a golf cart included in our stay. Glad we had the golf cart, as the resort is quite large. Kids enjoyed activities - popsicle eating contest, t-shirt tie dye, and donut decorating. They also loved the clean and well-lit basketball courts.

Lots to do close-by but we never left the property. So many fun things to do right here. RV spaces are nicely sized and we enjoyed being right next to the water. Fire pits and picnic tables in great condition.

CONS If you like a budget campground, this isn’t the place. You are paying for all the amenities and the price tag reflects it. It’s a very large place so if you are looking for isolation, you’d be disappointed. All that said, we felt it was worth the money and weren’t bothered by other people because we had so much fun.

OVERALL Bring your kids here! They won’t want to leave! Come for at least a few nights, if able, so you can make the most of it. I can’t wait to come back.
