Easy access dispersed camping

Easy to get to and find multiple pull out spots along the road. It’s all uphill and unlevel. We had a truck tent and it wasn’t terrible but you could feel it wasn’t level. Stayed on a Saturday night and the road traffic wasn’t too terrible keeping us up at night, but you could hear the traffic pick up around 6:30 AM.

Perfect for what it is

This series of pullouts is excellent for those that want to camp near steamboat for $0. They do slope upwards, so bring your leveling blocks. We choose the third loop uphill, some lake views and we watched a thunderstorm roll across the valley. We fit our 20 ft trailer easily, others had longer ones, also saw tents, vans and cars camping.

Pull off from highway 40

We were hoping to stop at the loop just beofre this spot coming from Steamboat Springs butt here we're three other vehicles there. This stretch of road has a number of pulloffs but beware they are not flat. I was able to.level our travel trailer but only after busting a jack.
