Monument RV Park

Sites at Monument RV Park sit close together on paved surfaces, creating a compact layout that prioritizes convenience over privacy. The campground backs up to a field where goats graze, providing an unexpected rural touch just off Interstate 70. Ioan P. notes it's "very quiet" despite the proximity between rigs.

The park maintains clean facilities with hot showers, though water pressure varies between the men's and women's restrooms. Campers consistently praise the cleanliness of bathrooms and laundry facilities. A seasonal pool provides relief during warmer months, while the on-site dog run gives pets space to exercise, though some visitors report inconsistent waste cleanup by other guests. Full hookups include electric, water, and sewer connections, with good Verizon cell service reported throughout the property.

Fruita's location puts outdoor recreation within easy reach. The campground sits 20 minutes from Grand Junction and close to Colorado National Monument, making it a practical base for exploring the area's biking and hiking trails. Fruita Section Camping — James M. Robb Colorado River State Park offers an alternative just northwest of town for those seeking a more natural setting.

The park accepts reservations and allows pets, with many sites accommodating both pull-through and back-in configurations. Level sites make setup straightforward for RVs of various sizes. A Dairy Queen, liquor store, and other restaurants sit within walking distance, adding convenience for supplies and meals. The campground also provides RV storage for extended stays or seasonal visitors.

Monument RV Park works well for travelers prioritizing full hookups and proximity to area attractions over spacious sites and natural surroundings.

Nice

Not to much space between rigs, but is very quiet and bit expensive. Very close to the Monument State Park.

SW Colorado Awesome Sauce

We stayed here with the family in our camper for a local running event. First time in Fruita and we’ll definitely be back to this RV Park again next year.

Nice spot

Lots of grass, shade, and a dog run! We didn’t use the pool but it looked tempting. Showers and toilets were immaculate.

A penny savers RV Park

My Mother always told me if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all! The spaces are nice and large and the employees were accommodating. 😂😂😂 30amp plug didn’t work upon arrival, we used 50amp, but the next day they were out to fix it. Other than that, most people here are staying full time, don’t pick up after their dogs, dogs run loose, weeds with lots of stickers everywhere, space had some spray foam insulation all over it we had to clean up. The spaces are paved and there are picnic tables. We used Passport America so it was only $14.50 for full hookup. Otherwise, we would have moved on.

Level, close sites

The sites are level, but close together. Many pull thoughts, backs up to a field of goats that were adorable. Great showers, clean and well pressured.

Monument RV Park, CO

Monument RV park is located in Fruita, CO which is only 12 miles or 20 minutes from Grand Junction. Fruita has a lot to offer for a small town. There are biking and hiking trails as well as the national monument itself.

At the campground, we were pleased with our stay. The bathrooms, showers and laundry were up to par. Although, one of the buildings was closed for the winter. The dog park had waste that guests didn’t pick up, but it was nice they had a space dedicated to our pets. There is a pool for the warmer months and it’s in close proximity to a Dairy Queen, liquor store and other restaurants. They also have a RV storage space!

Easy to Access

This was a beautiful location right on the river and right off the interstate! The staff was very helpful! (I even got a refund from the site I booked online!). Close to Grand Junction and a great hike to Rifle Falls!
