Orvis Hot Springs (Clothing Optional)

The gardens and pools are beautiful. Be sure to check the websites for cleaning days so you don't show up on a day when the pools you want are being cleaned. I didn't stay on site, and instead camped at nearby Ridgway State Park.

The hot springs are lovely with beautiful views of the mountains. The camping for vans/RVs is a dirt parking row against a fence next to the road.  Tent camping has better spots, but for tents only we were told. There is van camping in an overflow lot that is a little better, but farther away.  There is a gun range across the street that gets a lot of use.  I would camp somewhere else and get the day pass.

We booked online and expected to have a designated site which (if that were the case) would have been fine. We were forced to park next to a dumpster with a barbed wire fence that was falling apart full of trash. The springs themselves are amazing but it seems like the property takes advantage of as many people as they can opting to charge campground fees to sleep in the general parking area next to the garbage.

We booked camping here as a great way to access the hot springs at Orvis. It’s $50/night per person, and you have access to the hot springs all night! The campground is basically just a gravel lot but has beautiful views of mountains and grazing cattle. There was plenty of space for our 21’ travel trailer and saw bigger rigs as well. Pets allowed in campground area. There is a kitchen available during the day as well as free coffee in the morning. There are multiple ponds to soak in, free showers, free lockers. The stars were beautiful at night and the crowds really cleared out after daytime visitor hours. Our favorite time was early morning- drank our coffee in the south pond (that we had to ourselves!!) and watched the birds.

It’s $60 for a full 24 hour pass to the springs and amenities (showers, bathrooms, kitchen, WiFi, water) as well as camping. It’s an absolutely lovely place if you’re looking to splurge one night.

This is my second time here and it is always such a great experience. I don’t even want to brag about it because I want to keep it to myself.

We camped here overnight in October. We love to go to hot springs and thought this place was a 9/10. They had 10 tent sites and spots to park your camper or van. We called the same day and they were able to accommodate us that night. Price is a little steep at $50/per person per night but it includes 24/hr access to the hot springs, showers, coffee, etc. The tent sites are nice with fire pits and raised platforms. This place is super casual but well maintained which is what appeals to its charm. Staff is super friendly.

For camping, it is more like a parking lot. However, this spot is close to everything in both towns. The hot springs are amazing. Much more natural than commercialized. They have many pools including a silent area and one that is 4’ deep. Will certainly be back!!

Ccampground is small, but hot spring are awesome. Hotsprings are included in price. Dogs aloud at campground but not in the pool area.

We love Orvis hot springs. They are very relaxing after going out hiking for the day and need to relax and sooth your tired muscles. A great place to go visit.

You probably wouldn't want to camp here if it wasn't for the access to the hot springs. The "campground" is basically a parking lot with some tent platforms. But the hot springs are spectacular.
