Right on the Rio Grande

Have camped here for almost 2 weeks now with the river about 10 paces from our rig. End spots of the 7 along the river here are most spacious though all seem pretty good considering you are literally on the banks of the river. Road access in is good for any vehicle or type RV. Definitely a real find for fishing and enjoying the headwaters area.

On the Rio Grande

A nice little spot near Creede with one of the nicest two seater pit toilet I've experienced. Seven spots total, all first come first serve. Area is popular for drift boats since there is a river put in/out but it wasn't too hectic during our visit. There wasn't any highway noise or train horns. The road to get to the campground is a little steep with some small holes, but stock AWD or better should suffice when it's dry. Chipmunks, rabbits, birds, and butterflies abundant.

Easy access to fishing

Every site was nice and had easy access to the river for fishing or a swim. Vault toilets were very clean. Come prepared since no trash or water available. Very quiet campground within a close drive to Creede. Highly recommend the bachelor loop while in Creede.

Canyons, mountains, and forests, oh my!

The only problem that i had with this place was that i didn't book a long enough stay, This place was absolutely beautiful, and a couple of days here is simply not enough. There are many camping areas to enjoy, as well as canyons, and mountains to hike and explore. this place was awesome and i cant wait until i have time to go back!
