Accessible via forest roads, Browns Park provides drive-in camping within Roosevelt National Forest from June through November. The US Forest Service manages this forested campground near a creek, accommodating RVs up to 30 feet with basic toilet facilities and pet-friendly policies.
The creek proximity and forest setting make this a functional base for exploring the broader Roosevelt National Forest area. Campers can find additional places to camp around Roosevelt National Forest throughout the region. Book early for summer and fall seasons when forest access roads are most reliable.
Description
This campground is located about one mile west of the Stub Creek Ranger Station on County Road 99. It is adjacent to Jinks Creek. This campground was situated in a mature lodgepole pine forest but recent mountain pine beetle activity has led to significant mortality and the cutting of the dead trees. Each site contains a tent pad, fire grate, and picnic table. All campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. This area provides opportunities for fishing, hiking, hunting, four-wheel driving, and wildlife viewing.
