Description

Tentrr

A mountaintop ranch in Colorado that sits below the famous Colorado “14er”, Pikes Peak. This property sits on top of a mountain at an elevation of nearly 10,000ft and features 3 unique Glamping sites! The ranch features a tiny cabin, geodesic dome tent and platform canvas tent. The sites sit on 100 acres of private, pristine Colorado mountain land that offers over 3 miles of private hiking trails and unrivaled views in all directions. A large, mature aspen grove covers most of the property and views to the south stretch over 100 miles! Despite being on a mountain, over 70% of the property sits on level or gently sloping ground making it perfect for camping spots and events. The Eastern edge borders public land, infinitely expanding access and hiking opportunities. It’s only 1,500 feet from a large reservoir and river- both are accessible by hiking or an easy 5 minute drive.

105 West Ranch also has some deep and unique history. Our area was originally surveyed in 1881. After that, miners came through in the late 1800s and dug prospector pits looking for gold. Many of these pits and even some old tin cans from miner's camps are still visible on the property today. In 1931, the area was re-surveyed with more accuracy. In 1936, the President of the United States, FDR, granted a land patent (homestead) of 632 acres to homesteader. Part of this 632 acre homestead granted by the President was what is now 105 West Ranch.

Fast forward nearly 100 years. My wife, Rachel, and I bought this property in 2019, fulfilling a life-long dream of owning our own land.

Rachel and I live for the outdoors, we work in the outdoor industry and spend every chance we get exploring our beautiful state with our two dogs. As a 4th generation Coloradan, it's been a lifelong dream to own a (relatively) small part of the state my family has called home since the late 1800s. Now that we own our own piece of Colorado heaven we want to share the unforgettable experience, memories and beauty of our property with others looking for an escape from the city.

Stunning Views, Surroundings, and Seclusion

This was the perfect spot for a 4-day family getaway! All the instructions were clear, and all the provided amenities made it easy to roll in and relax, connect with nature and family. My kids especially enjoyed the hammock. We spent one entire day at the nearby reservoir paddle boarding. Whoever stayed before us could have done a better job sweeping out the tent, but otherwise, our whole experience was wonderful. I think this spot may forever change the way our family camps!!

Some of our 5 start reviews from the Tentrr booking site…

"Such a beautiful site. One of the best places we have ever gone camping- with views to die for. What an amazing piece of property And our camp hosts, property owners Rachel and Jeff were so hospitable and welcoming. Really fine folks, who have thought of pretty much everything in terms of what you might need or want while glamping. Definitely worth going for the Adventure Gear Shed, btw. Can’t wait to come back." -Sanford B

"Absolutely amazing views, perfect family camp site. Glad we found this great spot." - John D

"We cannot say enough great things about this property and the hosts. First, this stunning location is nestled in an aspen forest on top of a mountain overlooking Florence and in the other direction overlooking Skagway Reservoir and Pike's Peak. We spent our mornings with coffee overlooking the breathtaking views, spent our days hanging out at the reservoir, walking through the forest and magical acreage and then finishing the night next to a fire before cuddling up in the tent(with heater). Rachel and Jeff are wonderful hosts who provided some history of the land, kept our adventure shed full of firewood and would greet us with smiles. I highly recommend renting the adventure shed! It comes with paddle boards, games, bikes and endless firewood. All in all, there was no other way I would want to spend my 40th birthday. We will be back again and already booked another weekend! Thank you Rachel and Jeff for sharing your amazing property. It was truly magical." - Joel C

"Incredible property with extraordinary views and super friendly and welcoming camp hosts! The site is nestled into the aspen trees and looks out upon some of the best views we’ve ever seen. Rachel and Jeff went above and beyond in making sure we had a comfortable experience, and they even provided some amenities that were not expected! I wish we could have stayed longer and cannot wait to return!" - Stephen Y

Amazing views of beautiful CO

Went through tentrr to book. Amazing views and lovely nature. Woke up to a group of 6 or 7 deer 🦌 and birds 🐦 chirping away.

The camp was clean and bathroom were stocked Shower was full Water was already full for the camp Amazing experience. Definitely recommend.

Camp host Jeff was super nice. Even stayed a day to accommodate us when his weekend was clearly over. We paid for the adventure shed perk and that gave us access to unlimited firewood and all the gear needed to fish and paddle board and even backpacking equipment.

Words won’t do any justice and pictures won’t either. Gotta see it for yourself.
