Highway 395 runs directly past this 27-site RV park and motel combination, placing campers four miles south of Bridgeport in California's Eastern Sierra region. All sites feature full hookups on level gravel pads with back-in access, though a few sites toward the rear may sit slightly askew. Rock borders define each space, with aspen trees providing natural screening throughout the property.
The family-owned operation maintains small but clean restroom facilities with two stalls, one sink, and one shower per bathhouse. Water conservation requests keep shower time brief, but there's no additional charge for hot water. Cell service reaches the campground reliably, and WiFi signals prove decent for connectivity needs. "We normally do not stay in RV parks, but this was just an overnight for us and because there were only a few people there when we were there, our site felt more private," notes one reviewer about the spacious layout.
Evening gatherings center around a large communal fire pit where the owners provide spirits and s'mores for campers. A horseshoe pit offers additional recreation, while a small fishing pond sits on the property. The location serves as a convenient base for exploring camping near Bridgeport, with easy access to Bodie State Park's turnoff nearby. Road noise from the highway diminishes after dark, making this a practical overnight stop for travelers navigating the 395 corridor.
Description
Willow Springs Resort is located five miles south of Bridgeport, California, in the heart of the Eastern Sierra premiere outdoor recreational region. Although you’re sure to unplug with all there is to do around here, our guests have access to some of the best Wi-Fi in the area.
The facility is a small 50’s era motel and RV park with all the amenities one normally expects. We are a pet friendly facility. We love pets and welcome them in our RV park but not in our motel rooms.
Willow Springs Resort was built 60 years ago and is still owned and operated by the same family. That family prides itself on operating a quiet and clean vacation destination.
The fish at the left was caught in Virginia Creek, that is just across the highway from Willow Springs! There are a host of activities to enjoy in the "big backyard" of this Sierra Nevada paradise.
Whether you enjoy fishing, hunting, boating, hiking, swimming, 4-wheeling, or want to take a photo class or tour of Bodie Ghost Town, we have it all.
If you prefer to read a book or catch a falling star, meet new people and share stories at the campfire Willow Springs Resort welcomes you.
