Nice campground overall

Sites are very close to each other is the only reason why I gave it the rating I did. I stayed in the sand lot but it had a contrite patio. Vehicle parking is tight so you will be staring at the bank of your truck or car. Staff were very friendly and the pools were very nice and relaxing. Only 25 mins into Palm Springs, Cathedral City area.

Great location, pools, community

We stayed at Sky Valley in January, February, April and May. It's a lovely location with almost perfect weather in the winter. April very windy and May, it starts getting hotter. However, you can take the tram up majestic Mt. San Jacinto, about 1/2 hour away, and hike in the cool forest there. Joshua Tree entrances are within the hour to get to. The Coachella Valley preserve is just a few minutes drive from Sky Valley and is a delightful walk among Palm trees and springs. Sky Valley RV resort has nice places to walk, plus a great little market with fresh baked goods, soft serve ice cream and other items. Once a week, a farmer's market sets up near the entrance and they offer all kinds of produce, local and more. We didn't try the spring-fed pools until second trip - wow! So soothing and temperature slightly varies but not too hot or too cold. Swimming felt really good. Sites are pretty well maintained. First site on level gravel, good power, water pressure decent. They have a mailroom with nice staff, laundry rooms have ample machines and they have fitness center, which we haven't tried yet. People are pretty friendly here, a nice community.

Nice community

We came to this resort in September 2021, didn’t realize it was still too hot to go to the desert. However, it was a really nice quaint community with a pool and little general store. They even had a pond with a black swan! Thought that was pretty cool to see. Very close to Palm Springs. I

Pools!!

Sky Valley is an RV park. There are two locations in the park with mineral Pools and mineral hot tubs. There is a large grass area with ponds and black swans. This is a great location to relax by the the pool with a short drive to Palm Springs or Joshua tree. There are pickle ball courts, shuffle board, and horseshoe in the park.

Peaceful

We loved it here! Fortunately we were able to enjoy their monthly special for the months of February and March. We were originally going to stay for 1 month but felt so relaxed and loved the hot tubs/pool. We decided to stay. Very comfortable and very roomy spots. The facilities were clean and the community was friendly. Can’t wait to go back!

Welcome to Sky Valley

Great resort style camping. This park is 25min from anything but that’s one reason I like it. Lots of exploring within a hours drive to great sights like Joshua Tree NP, Palm Springs, Salton sea, Idlewild, Borrego Springs, etc. The pools are very nice but can get overran by kids or people who don’t clean up after themselves, but that can be the case anywhere. Every Wednesday is a farmers market set up by entrance of resort. I was driving Dillon Road and would pass the Welcome to Sky Valley sign and took me a min. then realized that it is the album cover to Kyuss 1994 album “Welcome to Sky Valley” I thought that was very cool to stumble upon. Dillon road is a rollercoaster of a road up against the foot hills of Joshua Tree overlooking the valley and is a scenic byway. Along the San Andreas fault line check out Coachella Valley Preserve on 1000 Palms road, a natural Palm Springs oasis in the desert.
