Not bad

This is a big campground. The spaces are nice and big. You can camp on grass, gravel and cement whichever you prefer. Weather was good. Overcast in the morning and sunny in the afternoon. Nice big beach you can take dogs on.

Peaceful with nice shade. Bring insect countermeasures.

Lived in this area almost my whole life and never knew about this campground. Did a little recon prior to booking our trip and decided on site #39, as we were only staying for 3 nights and did not need any sun for solar for that short of a stay. Tons of shade with the sites along the south side of…

Nice but rude staff

Nice place to camp. Very pretty. Not sure why we( and only us) weren't allowed to us the plug in for our RV. Very rude staff who work there.

Dangerous near traffic / No Verizon Wifi

There are nearby spaces with more distance between the road and the rest stop. I have not yet found a space with Wifi, but I’m looking…

Quiet Sunday evening

Water fountains/spigots relatively easy to find near most campsites. Bathhouse is next to site 10, operates with quarters. Site 7 is fairly flat, not terrible wide but plenty of room to put out slide and walk around RV. Further in on sitge has picnic table and more space. No fires right now,…

Beautiful Spot on the Sonoma Coast.

In the coastal town of Bodega Bay California is a state/regional beach called Doran Beach. It is a beautiful place to go for a day trip or for overnight camping trips. Doran's campground is right on the beach with the bay on both sides of the road. There are several areas for RV's and also for tent…

Clean, but close camping.

We got a same day reservation, thankfully, because it was impossible to reserve anywhere in the area. We just wanted to car camp overnight to test drive our gear before a longer road trip. We got placed into site 6, which happened to be a handicapped accessible spot. It was level (perfect for our…

My new favorite place!

We stayed here in Aug after canceling a Tahoe trip due to smoke. We were not disappointed! Such an amazing location! We stayed in the Meadow View sites cause most of them were available but after walking through the campground that's where I would go back. The sites are quite large which was really…

Nice private campground, $35 a night or $30 if you pay cash. Private beach/boat ramp and path leading to the state park and trails along the bluffs. Not a lot of privacy between sites. Porta Potty’s and the showers were outdoor stalls with no roof, but water got hot fast, $2 in quarters for 5 mins.…

Don’t waste family time here

This was a place my dad took me every year! Lots of great memories were made! Snipe hunting in the dunes, crabbing from the dock…Even as a younger adult(20-25) I made great memories introducing my friends to this great camping spot by the beach. Recently, taking my family, was a huge…

Overnight stay

A little run down but my four year old did not care! Lots for kids to do. Pool, fishing pond , playground, hiking trails. We were there for one night during the week but it looks like they have additional activities on the weekend.

Perfect tent site for the night

Traveling north from the Bay Area, we used the Dyrt app to find a suitable place to pitch a tent and stay the night on our way north to the redwoods. Online reservation was so easy, drove right to the campsite, pitched our tent just about an hour before dark giving the kids enough time to find some…

Beautiful Area!

We were in a group site, which was nice and spacious. Had some tree coverage too which we were very grateful for because it was quite warm. Trees also were great for our hammocks! Downside was that due to extreme fire danger and fires in the area, we were allowed to have fires of any kind. Only…
