as a tent camper, this campground was awesome. i was in spot D5-2 which was an awesome section to be in. the spots were huge, right next to the path to go to the water, and close to the bathrooms. super clean, hear the waves all night, ride your bike into town or to the day use beach spots. best campground i’ve ever stayed at!

Location, location, location
Parking spots are large enough for two vehicles and ground area provided more than enough space for our two tents. Showers and bathrooms are nice. The site is just a few minutes walk away from a beautiful beach with awesome sunsets.
However, the site is right next to a road and is incredibly loud at night. If you are in a tent, you will either need to be a very heavy sleeper or have earplugs to have any hope of getting some sleep. Unfortunately, the road noise made this site almost impossible to enjoy (at least at night).

Paved streets and sites. Good restrooms with sinks and flush toilets. Hot showers included in price. Most sites close to level. Nice trails for ocean and sunset views. Loop D close to 101 freeway... can hear traffic beginning around 5:30am. Opted not to use earplugs. Reserve online. Would stay again.

The only good things are the location and site sizes. We stayed for one night and there was traffic noise all night long. There are hookups but the water was nasty. We regrettably topped off our fresh tank just to have to dump it at our next stop and sanitize our system.

Great stay
Wonderful location with just a short walk to the beach. Campsites are fairly close together and on this Friday night, things were crowded and a bit noisy. Still, the sites were very good and had picnic tables, fire rings, and very clean bathrooms and showers. Great time!

Mystic Forest Campground
Convenient location
The owner and his family are very easy going and kind. The camp facilities are in need of upgrades but everything seems to work and. Is clean. The parking spaces are level but could benefit from some gravel because the area is very wet. And the spots are rather close together. We had fun picking black berries right from our spot. There is a nice games room that even had a pool table. There was also a sweet mini golf area.
