Lots to climb. Lots of spots, some with standard set up (covered table, fire pit) others near big rocks with fire ring. Bring water. Multiple toilets.

Loved this spot!!

A little gem hiding out in Lytle Creek! Easy access to a pretty trail right behind the campground. Very quiet and interspersed with long time stayers and temporary campers. I stayed in my van and had my cat and dog with me. Campfire wood was easily available and had its own picnic table. Beautiful…

A Handy Desert Stop

Traveling while pulling my utility trailer along makes slow going. And pulling up a long, long, long desert mountain grade can be downright exhausting.

So this is a mighty grateful thumbs up review. Robert made my day when I phoned up in the late afternoon and offered me a limited use rate on one…

Amazing spot

We went camping right before the snow storm and it was pretty cold but still so amazing. The staff are very friendly and let us know about the coyote lurking about and the big freeze warning and made sure we were gonna be warm enough. We camped just a few steps away from the lake, there were other…

Not bad but could be decieving

The campground wasn't terrible, as it had alot of amenities like showers, bathrooms, dump station, fire pits, picnic tables, etc. The front gate was kind of odd and annoying at times as you would have to wait but once it was open some people would sneak into the campground during the day basically…

Nice camping place with bathrooms, shower, firepit and a charcoal grill.

Nice place to camp, weather is around 75 during the day and about 50 to 36 degrees cold through out the night. Has everything you'll need. Bathrooms are close by, showers HOT water available. Camping sites are too close together. Other than that it's great. Not many people this time a year. Had a…

Beautiful Off-season Stay

My review is only 4 stars because the sites are so close together AND you’re right off the road. In the busy season, you’d be no more than 12-16 feet away from your neighbors.

However, my dog and I had a lovely stay. Neighbors were very few, quiet, and the restrooms were more than adequate. I…

Love it!

Total first come first serve campgrounds. One, maybe two, bathrooms that are usually always stocked with toilet paper and are very clean. Plenty of room between sites so you feel secluded, but there is room to meet neighbors as well!! Absolutely love it. Offroad trails nearby too!

Best Campground in Big Bear

We spent 4 days at the Ranch on a Peninsula Site near the Barn. Sunrise and sunset views are absolutely gorgeous. Clean porta potties, fire rings, we had two picnic benches and far from any other campers. Staff was amazing so sum them up. We will be making this trip I imagine twice a year. We'll…

Cozy and close to home

We just spent last weekend here at Serrano Campground. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place is well maintained and clean. Campsites have ample spaces in between there are a lot of flat places to pitch our tents. There are a mix of tent only, converted vans and trailers in loop but it…

Beautiful Campground!

I absolutely loved my stay at Pineknot. The spacing between sites is generous, and although it filled up on Friday and Saturday, the grounds remained quiet. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, I’d definitely suggest booking during the week, and choosing a site near the back of the grounds. My…

Cozy but risky when crowded

We’ve stayed at Pineknot a few times. Overall it is very easy to access with any vehicle. Each site has a picnic table plus fire ring and grill, whenever fires will be allowed again. The risk with this site is that it can fill up quickly and the sites have thin veil of separation between them,…
