Nice but loud!

Let me start by saying if you don't like sharing the site with your neighbor, kids and partying until the wee hours, this place may not be for you.

It's a very nice park like setting with a lake, actually a reservoir, so no swimming but, there are fish in it. $10 per day to fish. Very family friendly with a splash pad and playground for kids. Lots of kids!

They have full hookups with easy access but, the sites face each other and are very small. Privacy isn't an option.

It seems the camp store is one of the main attractions. Lots of people going back and forth to stock up and replenish.

In all, a nice place to overnight in a pinch but, that's about it.

Lake skinner campground

Nice campground by the lake. Had some issues with “Karen’s” and wannabe cop-park rangers but besides that an excellent open space for long walks with the dog. A lot of cleanup/maintenance of bathrooms are done by community service ppl- so if you plan on using the public restrooms at all bring your own TP because they’re not being paid for their work.

Fun spot to camp.

I recently camped here with my trailer for the first time. nice spot and easy to pull or back into a spot. The camp store has everything you need incase you forgot something and the the grocery store is about minutes away for anything else. hook ups were great and the only thing i notice was water pressure seemed to be off but that could of been user error. verizon signal was non existent. They do have wifi but i wouldn't try to stream anything off it.

Good Family Fun

Splash pad, park for kids, fishing, open space for kites, cornhole, actual sites are fairly crowded together with little to no shade. Short walk to store and boat ramp/fishing.

Nice trip!

Nice site, with power and water, free dump right on the way out of the camp site. Breakfast at the snack bar was great.

Busy!

When we Arrived at the gate we were 14th in line. It Took 40 minutes to enter the park. The CG was very full, it was noisy all weekend. There were barking dogs, dogs not on leashes, remote control cars, electric scooters, loud stereos. People up partying till after 1am around their fires. It Appears all “camp rules” are ignored. Bathrooms were clean. Our Fire pit at spot was left dirty and had trash in it when we arrived. The park in general is very nice. This was our 4th time here and only time it had been so loud. Make sure you check out the camp store and walk down to the lake.

Not for us but….

256 campsites with access to the lake. Not busy during the week, but a hopping place for families with water sports in mind. A playground and store make it more like a village. Campsites are close with no real privacy. Great staff and clean sites, worth a visit for the right folks! Hot air balloons in the AM!

Nice campground for those that just want to get out in the RV.

Most of the sites don’t have shade (I’m not telling my favorite site number 😁), and they are sort of close together. That said, I still like going here. There are 3 different camping loops that seem to have their own personality. They have a kids playground, and a splash pad for the warmer months. (That would be in loop B, though everybody has easy access). There’s also a lot of grass areas to play on. The park does allow fires in the fire pits, of course. And the lake does have fish, so if you’re a fisherman you’re going to love this campground.

Wonderful campground

Great park staff at check in, and at the camp store. Park is beautifully landscaped with trees and lush grass. We had a great time exploring the lake and hiking, well worth visiting.

Great rv sites

We stayed for a weekend, it was great, they have probably hundreds of sites so getting sites next to your friends shouldn't be an issue. The kids loved the splash-pad and park area which are open during coronavirus.

Family Friendly Campground

We love this campground. It’s local to us but a great place to getaway with family. It’s family friendly, great flat biking for kids, large dirt area used for parking during the Balloon and Wine festival that kids can play on and ride bikes in. Splash pad open during the summer which is great for kids and adults alike. Fishing and boat rentals. Far enough to feel like your away but close enough to grocery stores and towns. Right outside the Temecula Wine Country and Old Town Temecula.

Good for the weekend get away

Nice relaxing weekend get away, most of the full hook up spots are next to nice grass areas. I think the bath room and showers could of been placed in better locations for a shorter walk for each campground. The park is well maintained, multiple trails for biking, running or just taking a nice walk. The park is also pet friendly for a small additional fee. The lake is stocked with fish throughout the year, but they require you to buy a riverside county lakes fishing permit for each day if you want to fish. Boat rentals are available blot bring your own boat. Overall not to bad for a close , clean , and easy weekend trip

Awesome and Friendly Environment !

Been going here all my life, most recently for my sisters 36th birthday. Would recommend it to anyone. Went canoeing for the first time will definitely go again next trip. The staff is all very friendly!

Close to city, wineries, good amenities

This is a great family campground right around the corner from Temecula, Murrietta, and Menifee. It has tent, partial, and full hookup sites along with a camp store, fishing, biking, bathrooms, and day use areas. The lake is beautiful and boating is also an option. The fishing costs an extra fee per day on top of your California State License, so it’s a bit pricy. There are also nice hiking trails near the campground.

Close together

The sites are right up next to each other so there's not much privacy. The campground itself was standard. They have options for water and electric or full hookups. The campstore had everything we may need. Had about 2 bars of Verizon service.

Beautiful recreation area!

I loved this campground but wasn’t a fan of the extra fees. The charge $10 per person per day to fish in their Lake. And you can’t swim or let the kids play in the lake because it’s a reservoir. On the flip side they have a super nice splash pad park that’s no additional cost! There are lots of walking trails. We happened to be there during the poppy super bloom and the butterfly migration so that was also really cool!

Quiet and Nice!

Nice and relaxing here. It is close to home so it’s a spot we go often. Nice water pad for the kids to play at and playground. Big open grassy area for activities. You can’t swim in the lake only fishing or slow boating. Not much shade at sites and some are pretty tight. Overall it’s a nice place.

Nice place to stay if you have a watercraft or want to fish

There's not much to do here if you can't go play in the lake. There isn't any hiking trails, and if you walk the overgrown path around the lake, you'll get wood ticks all over you.

The campsites are plain, but they have all the hookups. There are bathrooms, and a huge camp store that has all the things you may need for food and fishing.

There's lots of activity happening with fisherman. I didn't get T-mobile cell signal here.

We've camped here a few times. It has some good hiking, and you can rent a boat or kayak by the hour or day. Plenty of playground space for kids.
