Site #30 This campground was an awesome campground from beginning to end. The guard shack that’s in the middle of the entry to get into The campground appears to not be used. You actually check in at the office to the right of guard shack. They only appear to store their ranger trucks near the guard shack, so go into the lane on the right when you’re entering the park. Check-in was quick and easy. There are signs in the park that direct you to where to go to get to your site as well as they give you a map when you check in. The Site was not level (which isn’t a problem) just mentioning it so that you know you’re going to have to have things with you to level your rig. Our site was covered with chalk from overly creative previous campers. Otherwise is was clean. This is a beautiful park with lots of trees and shrubbery. Saturday night was busy and slightly loud but quieted down by midnight. Sunday morning most of the campers packed up and left. The line for the dump is long and slow moving. Blocking sites in its path from 10:30 am to after 12:00 pm. So keep that in mind when you’re scheduling your camping site. Our site was blocked but we could squeeze out so it wasn’t a problem for us. But it could be a problem for others. So just a heads up. Bath house was clean showers looked good. They do you have poison ivy or poison oak in this park. I don’t remember which but they had signs up about it. We saw squirrels, bunnies, and LOTS of hawks and a few other birds during our stay. We had solid Verizon service anywhere in the park. The rangers drive though on and off all day then disappear in the late afternoon reappearing early morning. There are quite a few flys buzzing around and gnat like bugs. But it was no big deal. Great park!
Site 414 Had No cell coverage for our Verizon phones. After a drive through the park we found Cell coverage only works in lower part of the park. Our Site was not level at all. We carry a lot of leveling blocks and are not even close to level still nose down with 4 2x8s and Jack at max extension. Side to side level took one board under left side. We Had to get more lumber in town to level travel the trailer from front to rear.
The campground Rules state no scooters yet we saw them all day long… Everyone must wear helmet on bikes ect yet no one does and no one is making sure people follow rules.
We had a Great breeze every evening starting around 4pm that lasted a couple hours.
The bathrooms and showers were clean. The pool looked really nice and was quite busy our entire stay.
The setting of this camp ground is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again.
We had site B4 fortunately we have a small rv with door on back of unit. You could not walk down either side of our site. Both sides had yellow poles and utilities. If our door was on the side wed have been stepping out over neighbors sewer hose and ducking to not hit their slide. Site was not level at all. Which was no biggie for us we come prepared. Picnic table was a joke it was all warped. B4 should NOT be a camp site. Bathrooms were not clean. All toilet seats were nasty, no soap for washing hands. Trash was all over the camp ground. No rules were being enforced. Atvs, (Atvs all over camp ground and up at the ghost town.) unleashed dogs, swimming pools at rvs?! (One up hill from us dumped pool and flooded 3 sites) Neighbor checked in at 11pm. Camp fires till midnight. We left camp ground one time to run errand and had to sit in a 40 minute line to get back In. If you camp here dont leave, there is no line for campers already checked in. Its one line that is for Ghost town and camp ground entrance. We have camped here since 2006 and boy has it gone down hill over the years.
They ask for reg, insurance, on both truck and trailer when you arrive. We Stayed In spot 338 and had absolutely no cell coverage for our Verizon phones. The Bathrooms and showers take a code to get in. Not sure what thats all about, they were clean. The Geese in the park are a hoot! It Appears the park is VERY residential now a days. Not a camping environment like it was years ago. Dirt bikes, electric scooters, golf carts with loud music, cars literally cruising the park with loud music, people using leaf blowers you name it we saw it. If your going there to get away this is the wrong park very busy and noisy all hours.
When we Arrived at the gate we were 14th in line. It Took 40 minutes to enter the park. The CG was very full, it was noisy all weekend. There were barking dogs, dogs not on leashes, remote control cars, electric scooters, loud stereos. People up partying till after 1am around their fires. It Appears all “camp rules” are ignored. Bathrooms were clean. Our Fire pit at spot was left dirty and had trash in it when we arrived. The park in general is very nice. This was our 4th time here and only time it had been so loud. Make sure you check out the camp store and walk down to the lake.
