Mountain View RV Park and Guest Motel

Good Things Come In Small Packages

I have driven by this campground numerous times not paying a lot of attention. Today I paid attention and realized I have made a mistake. There is a high fence that assist in keep this corner of Mountain View private. An oasis for anyone that wishes to venture in. A traveler will find a welcome smile and an amazing view. They will also find a well maintained campground and a motel. The campground offers concrete pads or gravel, 30 and 50 amp service, full hook ups, cable tv, wi-fi, high speed for extra fee, coin operated laundry, community fire pit with wood provided, dog friendly, showers and toilets and more. The motel offers all the amenities you would expect to find in a branded hotel/motel. There are eight motel rooms and two cabins available for rent. Both the campground and motel have access to two recreation rooms. Both have full kitchens, tv, stereo, dining tables and chairs. One recreation room has limited exercise equipment. There is 1.5 acres of green space that is also available for all guest. The view from the green space is worth dreaming over that morning cup of coffee. There are things you will not find in many campgrounds in Mountain View. Much of the entertainment in this area will be of a natural source. Weekends will find pickers on the square or concerts at the Ozark Folk Center. If you want to take a dip look to the creeks or the river. Stand up paddle boarding, canoe, kayak, Loco Ropes, mountain bike trails, hiking, antiquing, trail rides, fishing and I’m sure you get the idea. Movies. There is a movie theatre and the cherry on top is a drive in movie. Mountain View Drive In is one of only a few left in the US. You will find first run movies at both.

      Red River RV Park

      Nice clean, small RV park

Nice clean, small RV park at Highway 67/167 and CW Road in Judsonia, one exit north of the Searcy Race Street exit. 30 spaces total with 3 pull through sites. No internet or laundry on-site but the electrical set up is good. Water and sewer are in good locations but the water connection box was holding water during our stay. Daily, weekly, or monthly rates available. My Verizon LTE hotspot averaged between 5 and 10 Mbps down and 0.8 to 1.6 up. My Verizon 5g phone averaged 75 to 85 Mbps down and 28 to 35 Mbps up. One of my neighbors was on a T-mobile 5g hotspot and was consistently over 50 Mbps download.

      Dam Site Campground

      Very nice and clean

We stayed 3 nights over a weekend in early September. We had a pull through site in loop N that was perfect for our 41’ fifth wheel...plenty big, clean, and level. It was a little sunny, but other than that no complaints. The other loops were more wooded, but wouldn’t be good for big rigs. We will definitely come again.

      Downtown Riverside RV Park

      Unique RV Experience

At first entrance it appears as if you are entering a large parking lot. There is a large pavilion to picnic and pet area by the water. Each site requires a 50 amp but the office will offer one for purchase if you need a 50 to 30 amp connections. The center lot is for pull through sites the other site areas non-pull through by water and fence. The fence area is close to the bridge but could be limited with views since it is far away from the water and Class A frequent area.

      Two things I love:

      1. The unique downtown riverside views
      2. The ease of getting to this RV park even though it is downtown Little Rock.

      H&G RV campground

      We really liked it!

An overnight stop on our route. Gary was great, most helpful and it was a pleasure talking with him. This is a rather small campsite and I recommend advanced reservations. Two pull through sites that do not have sewer hookups but there is a dump station if needed. Electrical hookups are 50 amp so have an adapter if you need 30 amp service. I’d certainly recommend it.

      Downtown Riverside RV Park

Parking lot but close to downtown.

Talk about great location in a great town. We usually do not like camping in cities this big but wanted to come here to visit the William J. Clinton Presidential Library. And what a great location this park is to downtown Little Rock and the library. There is a pedestrian bridge that takes you over the Arkansas River to downtown and all the attractions; as well as, some great restaurants and a vibrant downtown.

This campground is essentially a parking lot.  There is no shade and our air conditioners ran non-stop since we were there in July.  There is a grassy area in front along the river that is a common area for you to enjoy the night sky. The riverfront is beautiful at night with the downtown lit up at night. Sites include 50 amp electric, water and sewer. There is also a dump station and WiFi. Some of the riverfront sites have been upgrades to concrete pads and some sites are pull-thru sites. The restrooms were clean and washers and dryers are on-site. The park takes any kind of RV from pop-up to Class A but does not accept tents. The price we paid was definitely reasonable at$22/night(with tax) but they also offer numerous discounts.

Downtown Little Rock is a great town with plenty to do, see, and eat. The great things about this park are that it is convenient to the interstate and a great price. For the location, you would expect to pay a lot more. We loved walking to town at night and enjoying the restaurants and breweries that bring the downtown to life. The weekly farmers market was a highlight and the Presidential Library is not to be missed.

      Dam Site(greers Ferry)

      Fishing Time

      Open:  Year round

      Sites:  148 electric

                    93 non electric

      Fees:    $14.00 - $33.00

      Reservations:  877-444-6777 or recreation.gov

Boat ramp   drinking water   dump station   marina   restrooms with flush toilets   showers   day use picnic area playground

Greers Ferry Dam Site is one of several around the lake created by the Greers Ferry Dam which created the 40,000 acre lake.  The dam was dedicated by John F Kennedy one month prior to his death.

Be aware that many of the sites might be hard to back into or hard to level your rig.  The area is thickly wooded and that might make it difficult.  There are a lot of large moss covered rocks that help to set the scene for  wooded wonderland for tents and smaller rigs.  Check your site before parking this park like many of the Corp of Engineer parks are older and built with tent and small RV's in mind.  It is a beautiful site and in Arkansas you must try the fishing

Directions:  3 miles northeast of Heber Springs, AR by way of SR 25 Bypass.
