Shootout Arena RV Park

It's a dry camping spot in downtown Tombstone for $10.00 a night. No dumpsters, no water. It's just one big tourist trap, but I wanted to check it out. I can mark this off the bucket list.

We tried to stay but they were sponsoring a bull riding competition so they were full. It cleared out by Sunday evening.
The campground is level and big…sites are close together but I imagine if she’s not full she’d spread people out. One spot even had their coral set up for their horse. You are right next to Tombstone so no need to drive to the local saloon for a beer….you can easily walk home! The stadium is only for bull riding and it is right up top from the camping area. There is a porta potty available and you can ride you ATV right onto BLM land from here.

Pulled in for the night during a cross country trip. It’s exactly as it’s explained. Quiet, easy to find, dark. There was a few other campers there when we visited. Very, very close to the main drag in “downtown” Tombstone. It’s $5 per vehicle and $10 per trailer. It was my wife’s car and our pop up and my truck and a utility trailer. $30 total wasn’t bad for what it is.

No water No electricity No bathrooms but alongside the rodeo pin there was clean porta potties we used. Maybe one street light for the pull in area I can’t remember. Easy drop box payment.

Would definitely return if I was in the area again.

This place is perfect for dry camping a short distance from historic Main Street Tombstone. There were no amenities, so be prepared! You cannot beat the price! For car/tent camping there are some private spaces with a little shade and evidence of past campfires. Be sure to stay to the left of the sign to go into the lower camping area. Pay your 10 bucks at the drop box.

Arrived around 1pm. Almost empty. Pay cash $10/n at box near entry. Walk to old town. Attended shootout and ok coral. Walked through DT and back to campsite. Clean and convenient. Will stay here again.

Came in about midnight, pitch black out. A bit confused at first on whete to go. Go down the road past the Courthouse and past the day parking lot. The road to the camping area is on the left of the campground sign. Pay box, $10 night. Well worth it to be within walking distance. Be prepared to level rv as the spots are no where near level. Visit mid week, so it was fairly quiet. Bring CASH, as many places don't accept cards. We'll be back!

Can't beat the price or location for this place. Yards away from the main streets. You also might make it for a pro rodeo event. Generator friendly if needed.
