Excellent Bathhouse

We were traveling across country and needed a place close to the interstate to stop for the night. We were given clear instructions on how to arrive after hours. The campground had a wonderful view of some mountains and was conveniently located to the meteor crater. . I love the fact that this campground has trees!! That was a huge bonus. . The sites are level and offers lots of pull thrus. . My favorite part: The Bathhouse! It was so nice to have a private bathroom that felt like I was at home. . Bonus: They give a coupon for a discounted entry to the meteor crater. We arrived as soon as they opened and it was totally worth the stop!

Expensive but nice

We got in very late. Easy check in for late arrival. It says on here $55, we paid $65 with military discount. The bathroom and shower were nice, yes, you had to slam the door shut due to swelling but no big deal. The Meteor Crater is worth the trip. We enjoyed that.

Some what run down.

The RV park was clean but the restrooms/showers were in bad shape. The wooden doors on all of the bathrooms were swollen and would not shut. As noted on other reviews, Meteor Crater is worth the visit.

Nice Place but no Sewerage

Close to Highway but noise not bad. Level, spacious, gravel lots with some shade. When we arrived, they had just experienced a power outage but it was back on within an hour. Could not access the WiFi, which may be a result of the power outage. Good water pressure and 50 amp service but no sewer connections.

Electrical issues

Things were good until a camper moved in next to us. All of a sudden everything went off. We flipped the breaker still not everything came on. We managed to use an extension cord to turn frig on since few outlets worked. Had a mobile guy come out today. The issue is with the power pole. Course now it’s our issue! We spoke with our neighbors this morning and last time they stayed here same thing happened. Cost them $200 to get up and running. This morning their coffee pot wouldn’t come on- my husband spoke with the guy next door and they had exact issue that we currently have with ours. They thought it was just their rig until they spoke to us. We both even had surge protectors! They were to be here a week but they left this morning so as not to have a repeat of last time. We were staying until the 31st but once our mobile tech comes back we’re leaving! So far we’re in $195.50! I was told they had no septic hookups as they are remodeling. So we got 2 nights free. But they parked us next to dump station and smell is horrible. Nice dog park but it’s dirt and my dog was filthy. It also has little burrs all over the ground that gets into the dogs feet! It’s not really gated. The front gate has a combo but it closes at 6 and you need to use side gate. Side gate has no lock just a clip so anyone can get in- as soon as we pulled in to register a man from the office came running out like we were on fire and said we couldn’t sit there we had to park on the other side. Same thing happened to others here at the park. It’s a strange place and would not recommend staying here!!!!

Nicest campground in the area

Clean and decent campground between Winslow and Flagstaff. Looks like the Taj compared to others we have seen. 5 mins from the crater, with some great views en route, even saw antelope twice. 20 min to Winslow, 30 min to Flagstaff, 1 hour to Sedona in the west and hour to Petrified Forest/Painted Desert NP to the east, which are both amazing. CG right off 40, but don't hear. Decent showers and two dog runs. Our site needed some leveling. The biggest con was no sewer available, their system was full. They did call me to see if we wanted to cancel two weeks before our stay. The staff was nice.

Overcharging, under-delivering

PROS: Great Pull through sites. Playground for kids and dog park is a huge plus. All if not most of the amenities. Fantastic Views

CONS: The price was a bit too high and the WIFI is absolutely unusable. I mean that in every literal sense. It is so insanely slow that a simple website will take about 10 minutes to load. It threw me back to the days of dial-up. Don't advertise that you have "WiFi" when you actually have dial-up internet. That's shady. This park also runs a gas station that likes to price gouge you on the gas. (See attached photo)

Nice looking campground, full facilities. Pulled in for the night after a long day on the road only to realize they have no fire pits or grills. I was tent camping in January, so that was fairly important for me. Lol. They were very kind and helpful and I was able to get a refund.

Very nice and clean

Since we are traveling in December there were very few other campers.  The grounds were clean, the bathrooms fabulous, and they had two dog runs that were pretty big.  You also get a $5 discount for each ticket to see meteor crater.  We only stayed one night but there is not a lot to see other than the crater.

Decent, right off highway

Great spot if your going to see the crater, not bad if your just getting off the road for the night. Easy access but with that come the noise, not to bad. I believe all their spots are pull thru. Nice bathrooms and showers. Gas station and C store on premises. Two dog walking fenced area and a big field across the street. Casino close by, highway is closed down by an accident so didn't make it there to try the food. Nothing else around really. Stock up in Winslow or Flagstaff depending on your direction.

Didn’t have a reservation but it was a weeknight and they were able to fit us in. We had a W/E site and with discount it was $50 - a little high for us but they are the only game in town. Sites were gravel and level. Water pressure was almost nonexistent when we woke up. Walked to the showers and it was better but still low.

Quiet, remote RV Park

We stayed here 3 nights on Site 19.  Gravel, level, pull through site.  Close to but not on top of neighboring RVs.  Dirt Dog Park.  Nice Laundry facilities.  Front desk staff pleasant at check in.  Nothing real exciting nearby except for the Meteor Crater that is worth seeing.  We drove 20 miles into  Winslow one night and 35 miles into Flagstaff another night for entertainment and dinner.

Handicap accessible?

The shower and restroom at this location is some of the best I’ve seen so far. The only bad thing is the entryway is an extremely tall door frame on top of a concrete lip that causes a big jump to get up and over. The entrance on the other side is inaccessible. The RV sites have the difficulty that they have gravel entryways and my wheelchair continue to get stuck because they weren’t compacted quite enough. The maintenance worker was more than willing to bring a sheet of plywood to get me from the road into the RV.

A nice stop.

3/14/2021 We stayed here overnight so we could hit Meteor Crater early in the morning. Sites were clean, though close together similar to a KOA. Easy access off the highway. Nice location. Full hookups. We were in a Handicapped site, Number 10 which was a pull through. In fact, all of their sites are pull through sites. No fires or charcoal grills. A locked gate prevents overnight access by those that don't belong which was a nice security feature. A fun playground for the kids. Connected to a convenience store and gas station which was convenient. We would stay here again.

Stars, meteor, snow, what’s not to love?!?!

I thought we were running away from the snow in Colorado Springs only to finally arrive here and get snowed on! But we are on a lovely flat spot, plenty of room to extend our canopy and slide, good water pressure, good electricity. Neighbors are not too close (I can see them but can’t hear their conversation). Bath house is clean and has ample hot water. Dog areas, fenced, about 100’x50’ and there are two of them. The dog areas are clean as well and the folks here provide poo bags.

We could see the stars but there was obviously light pollution from the low-standing lights in the park. However, that was the only light pollution and if you gave it some time, your eyes adjusted to see an amazing array of stars!

Check in at the gas station. It was super easy. WiFi was good. They request you don’t stream for obvious reasons. We would definitely stay here again!
