Sandstones Retreat sits a few miles outside Winslow, giving campers direct access to over 100 miles of ancient trails and culturally significant sites in the surrounding high desert. Sites include gazebo structures and radio communications capability. Electric hookups, drinking water, toilets, a dump station, WiFi, and cell service cover the practical side. Big rigs are welcome, and pets are allowed. Bring extra water and plan for variable weather, as the area's open terrain offers little natural shelter.
