    Affordable, clean restrooms

I stayed a few nights here and it was only $15/night. Clean restrooms with hot showers, sites are well marked, and also well maintained. There was a space heater in the bathroom overnight, which I appreciated.

Slept like a baby to the train hum

I slept in this parking lot one night, and it is very near the train tracks. Others have made derogatory reviews regarding the train noise. However I enjoyed the low ambient hum of the intermittent trains passing by. They do not brake or sound off their whistles as they roll through town. It’s just a low rumble, similar to airplane cabin noise. I saw Winslow PD driving down the main street a couple times, so felt safe knowing the area is regularly patrolled.

    Very popular

I've parked my van as well as my skoolie out there many times over 5 years. It is under the canopy of the trees, very popular place so it gets crazy crowded. Think off grid intentional community. Is your are into herbal medicine, usnea grows here in mass. Mushrooms, yarrow herb. It is usually quiet at night, busy in the day. The road through there is a direct route from Belmont to flag, so expect that traffic. Also they shut down the interstate, this road actually becomes the route to flag. Everything from sheriff to semi trucks will drive it, and not slow! But tons of space in the forest.

    Incredible peace

I've parked my 36 foot skoolie out on the Kaibab plateau here for 2 years now. The most incredible peace I've found near Flagstaff. If you want quiet, wilderness, peace and natural beauty, this is the place. The further back you go, the better it gets, although the road sucks, my skoolie and Honda Van navigate it slowly.

    Hot Showers in Winter!!

Loved this park for an overnight. $38 was a bargain we felt. Level site close to I40 but road noise not too bad but makes it an easy stop. Loved the hot shower room😀 The Thai restaurant at the corner also owned by the park owner apparently.

Come from hwy 17 not 89A

The road is totally doable in a minivan or the likes if you have some experience driving on rougher terrain, but only if you are coming in off of hwy 17. If you are in Sedona and decide to take 89A because you don’t want to drive out to hwy 17 like we did you will be met with a side by side trail. It is not a road. We barely made it in a 2025 Subaru Outback wilderness. If you have 4x4 and a solid 12 inches of ground clearance then go for it cause it is fun but damn. We took hwy 17 the rest of the days we camped here and it was a breeze. Beautiful views!

    Easy rest stop.

We only stayed 2 nights. Spot E2 was a bit tight to back up into, needing to weave in-between obstacles. 220 power wasn't working, but maintenance was out here immediately and fixed it. Was here in winter, with showers and bathrooms closed, so never saw them.

Don’t climb the road from town. Acess this camp from HWY 17

The climb from Sedona was a bit torturous for my poor 3” lifted Tacoma. The road has intentionally been unmaintained to make it spicy for the paid ORV tours. Around dusk, I saw a guy come in from 17 and start dropping down towards town. He had Honda Goldwing strapped in the bed of his pickup. He made it a few hundred yards down and decided to go back the way he came.

    Convenient

I enjoyed the creek view and the springs, but the lack of campsite wifi is too much to give this campground my approval. The lack of wifi, especially when there is no cell coverage, is unbelievable. Had FHU, but again the connectivity is not existent, even being close to Sedona.

Large rig, stay in NEW campground area

I stayed in August for 2 nights and then in September, passed back through and stayed for 6 nights.

I had an ebike the second stay and I explored some of the roads and wilderness campgrounds in the surrounding area.   The pool and hot tub are a few minute walk from the new campground area.  The old campground has lots of trees but parking is TIGHT.

There is a crowded exercise room available, crowded because it has almost everything imaginable for a workout.

The new campground makes STARLINK easy as there are no trees to obstruct.  The spaces in the new campground are large and the two I used were level gravel lots with new hookups.

The facilities are amazing with big level sites, full hookups, a picnic table and a propane fire. The bar/bistro is gorgeous and we loved the pizza with live music in front of the fireplace. But the trains are really noisy through the night! Make sure you make use of the earplugs they provide at reception!

Our experience at this campsite near Sedona was amazing! The host was great help making sure we were settled in for the night. The camping spots were clean, well-spaced, and surrounded by stunning scenery. One of the highlights was the nearby creek, which was perfect for unwinding and added a peaceful ambiance to the whole experience. Easy to find. The roads arnt too bad, there’s definitely some rocky spots but I have an SUV that does not have 4x4 and it did just fine. Not too busy of campers/ day users. Only reason for 4 stars is you can kinda hear the freeway. (From where I stayed)

    Could be better but ok

Used one night. Lot of old long term trailers. Had reservations arrived 10 min after closing. Went to assigned site and it was occupied. No emergency number, no after hours contact. Even the restaurant has no way to contact anyone. Finally just used a random empty spot. Better management would be to have someone on call for issues. Got a discount after complaining. Would use them again if I had to I guess. Will not be my first choice next time though.

Easy creek side access in the cool pines

We made an impromptu trip to escape the heat and unwind. We were grateful the stars aligned and snagged a FF spot! The sites are spacious and very well kept. Yes, you are right next to 89 regardless, but it worked fine for us. The creek is easily accessible and walking distance to a trail head as well. Firewood and ice are available on-site and the camp hosts graciously drop it off at your site. It is a quiet campground and to note is that music is not allowed.

Afternoon rain in the canyon is such a treat and we couldn't have ordered it!
