BLM Land managed by the Lake Havasu Field Office, Havasu Heights sits along a main road corridor roughly ten minutes north of Lake Havasu City, with Interstate 40 a similar distance in the other direction. The area is dispersed and drive-in accessible, meaning campers self-select their sites across open desert terrain. Road noise is a consistent factor here. Sites closest to the main road carry highway sound through the night, but traveling a half mile or more into the area reduces that noticeably.

Terrain varies across the site. Some spots are flat and easy to level, while others require more effort depending on rig size. Large rigs have made it work, including Class A motorhomes, fifth wheels, and bumper pulls, though walking the area before committing to a spot is worth the extra few minutes. Nearby BLM Dispersed Camping Havasu and Lone Tree Dispersed Camping BLM offer additional dispersed options in the same general corridor.

Cell coverage runs at AT&T 4G LTE with two to three bars reported. Light pollution is low enough for clear night sky views. Campfires and pets are permitted, and a camp store is accessible across the street at a nearby RV park. Great for a 1 night stop over

Easy to find and right next to the road. You can hear the road traffic throughout the night. Att cell service was 4Glte, 2-3 bars About 10 other campers out here, and still enough room to have your own spot. Saw several camper vans, 5th wheels, 2 class A, and bumper pulls. There was also a collection of about 10, 2 person tents out here, in one group. Very close to town. Beautiful mountains in the background here.

The Heights

I absolutely love camping here. There's not a lot of light pollution so you can get great stars and moon pictures. Right near the I 40 if you want a quick stay passing through and want a quick stop in Lake Havasu City.

Decent spot just outside town!

I stayed two nights and found the area to be perfect. It was not overly crowded, except for the area right off of the main road. If you go a little farther in on the trail you get a little more space. I full time in a class c and flat tow my Jeep and was able to get about half a mile off the main road for my own slice of heaven.

There are lots of flat areas for easy setup, but there are also quite a few areas that would be challenging to level. Depending on your rig you may want to walk the area first.

There was a little bit of highway noise, but nothing major. Town is about 10 minutes south, and interstate 40 is about 10 minutes north.

Best compromise for the options

I was given the boot at a 14 day spot and i wasnt ready i had to choose between craggy crowded or lone tree loud . I chose H.Heights. internet walks through small neighborhood store at the rv park xrss street. Bullhead oneway lake havasu the other .
