Box Wash dispersed camping sits south of Wickenburg on BLM land managed by the Hassayampa Field Office, accessed by a wash that shifts with monsoon activity. Summer heat makes the site impractical for most campers. Winter months are more workable, and the area draws visitors interested in spotting desert wildlife after dark. There are no developed facilities, but an established rock fire ring marks the site. Pack in and pack out is essential. Nearby alternatives include North Vulture Mine Road BLM Dispersed and other dispersed sites along the same corridor. Note that this location is permanently closed.
