Keep Going

This site is definitely less of an exciting spot as several others further along but it is smaller and provides a little more privacy than being at one of the other group sites along the way. Make sure to check out my review of Cheaha Falls Campground where I discuss the entire loop and the best times of year to visit. The site has a firepit and flat area for a tent like most but is more overgrown so you might be better off with a hammock if you decide to stay here.

Cool Firepit

This site is a really great spot to stay if you are backpacking the loop alone or with a small group in a single tent or hammocks. It has one of the coolest fire pits I have seen that is set up against a large rock. This makes it easier to build and control your fire while in some of the windier conditions you can get in the winter on top of the ridge. Another nice thing about this site is it is only a short walking distance back to the group site with the water but also close to the areas that provide the better views.
