    Great campground on Tombigbee River

    Very nice large concrete pads with large gravel picnic area. Full hookups, picnic table, fire ring, fish table, pole for light. Our site was river front and saw lots of barrages go by each day. trees around but great views from most sites either of river or water. Can ride bikes down to the Lock and Dam areas. About 2 1/2 miles ride around campground. US Army Core of Engineer campground. Very well maintained! Demopolis, Alabama

    Great boat launch and picnic spot

    This is a great boat launch with picnic areas. Well maintained with public restrooms. You cannot camp here, but there is nearby camping facilities in both Forkland and Demopolis.

    Bells Landing

    Needs maintenance

    I was driving through and hoped to find a beautiful campground to come visit. However the campground needed maintenance and a good cleaning. The boat ramp is still in good condition, but the campsites were covered in leaves and I couldn’t even see the tent pads. If this had been updated, it would be a nice quiet park.

    Abandoned Ferry Crossing

    I was disappointed to find that this park has been pretty much abandoned. The ferry does not run across the river anymore. The boat launch is still in working condition. It appears that there used to be hiking trails for the Alabama birding trail, however they are no longer maintained.

    COE Alabama River Lakes Chilatchee Creek Campground

    Weekend trip

    Wonderful remote campground. Definitely has that out of the way,secluded vibe. It was very peaceful. The sites are nice level concrete and gravel pads, many of which have beautiful water front views. There are provisions for fishing as well. The camp host is very helpful. The bathhouses are minimal and outdated, but very clean. Would definitely come back.

    COE Demopolis Lake Foscue Creek Campground

    Peacefull and Cheap

    As an advid RVer its always hard to meet the title requirements. The park is easy to access off Hwy 80 and we chose a pill through {site 17} the site was clean and free of leaves, the park host even called us the morning of and let us know the site was open, she asked for a 1 hour heads up to be ready for our check in, all was ready when we arrived, she checked our senior pass and received a great deal at $12 per night. We had plenty of T-mobile service and streamed to our TV with no problem. Be prepared fro some mosquito action at around 5PM, so streaming TV will come in handy. Will book again this park, very pleased.

    The camp ground has two areas along the access Road. Both areas are first come first served. These are sites without power or water hookups, or self contained rustic camping. Sites would allow car, van or larger campers/RV’s. No running water, but toilet facilities. Near dam and lock on ALABAMA river.
