Millers Ferry Campground, also known as East Bank, is located on scenic Dannelly Reservoir in Alabama's Black Prairie Belt. The reservoir sits on the Alabama River and covers roughly 27 square miles, boasting more than 500 miles of shoreline. Boating, fishing, hunting and hiking are popular activities.
The park offers excellent fishing for bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish, and numerous fishing tournaments and annual festivals are held in the immediate area. Whitetail deer and wild turkeys roam the park, creating excellent bow-hunting opportunities.
The Black Prairie Belt is characterized by rich, dark soils and a mosaic of rolling grasslands and dense hardwood and pine forests.
Third time at Millers Ferry! Water & electric hook ups . Good water pressure, dump station on property. Our site was paved and easily accommodated our 40 ft Rv/ fifth wheel & Dooley. Each site has a fire ring/with top grate to grill, picnic table, shepherd hook.Bathroom clean another one under construction. Nice playground. $1 for washer and dryer. Lots of sites are gravel as well, but level. Lots of people fish-parking for trucks & trailers at water ramp on property. No dog park, but lots of nature walks and paved roads to walk on. Oh yes, Lots of mosquitoes & ants, bring bug spray for a more pleasant stay! Shopping in town about 15-20 minutes away. Several good restaurants. There is a Piggly Wiggly, True Value Hardware, and Dollar stores. Approx 20-30 min to Walmart, next town over. Public lake for swimming, on site, with playground!
This is one of my favorite places to spend a few days. It is by a beautiful lake and a friendly, well kept campground. It's also close to home so it is easy to run down and get out of town.
Great space between sites, pet friendly, nice bathrooms and showers, friendly and helpful host, clean site with concrete pad and picnic table and fire pit! Water access nearby and fun swimming area and playground! Our family had Lots of fun & We will definitely be back!
Large, well kept sites. Horrible bathrooms a long walk from many sites. If the urge hits, you won't make it. Bring your own if you can.
Talk about a nice campground! Secluded, quiet, right on the water. Only thing that would make it better is full hookup.
Small road side park that the state had turned over to the County some years ago.
It only has 3 RV sites and typically offers water and electricity only.
Nothing more than a class "C" should stay.
Tent camping is welcome.
Bathrooms were closed for the season and the water is off due to a leak.
There is a dump station located by the restrooms.
There is WMA property across the road that could be accessed for hiking.
Perfect. What was expected.
We live about 45 minutes from this campground. Planned a last minute trip for 2 days and had an absolute blast. It was middle of the week so we nearly had the place to ourselves. My son and I enjoyed the fish while my wife enjoyed a good book on beautifully shaded lot #13. The hosts were helpful and extremely nice.
We loved it. It was when I was a child but i can re remember it like it was yesterday. (that's saying something since I am a stroke victim, rendered now mentally handicap with short and long-term memory loss)
Very nice set up, kid friendly. We are enjoying our stay. 😍
Absolutely great!
Amazing place to be never a bad experience in 24 years great fishing great sites. 15 minutes from the next town and it’s small perfect get away.
This place is amazing. Free food free showers and free cabins you cannot be that. It is Christian based but they do not bother you if your not into that. They have a science centre and all kinds of activities. If you have kids you must go camping here. You will not regret it.
Very nice. Roomy. Clean. Many nice sites. Nicely wooded and a lot of water views. Great for water/fishing/boating activities. Only drawback is no sewer hookup but dump station on-site
This park was closed! Only had 3 RV Sites with water and 30 amp. Not sure if it has funding issues.
Loved every minute! Great camground, with plenty of access to river. There is even a beach for swimming!
