Spread Creek Meadows 4-7

Quiet comes in degrees at Spread Creek Meadows 4-7, and where you park determines how much of it you get. The campground runs along a gravel forest road off the main highway near Moran Vista on Forest Road 30290, with sites spread across a mix of forested and open terrain beside Spread Creek. Sites near the road entrance see regular traffic from trucks and campers passing through at all hours, including the middle of the night. The further up the road you go, the more removed from that flow you'll be.

The road itself is rough in spots but passable for most trucks and smaller rigs. Large RVs may find the early pull-outs or the gravel lot 1.5 miles from the main road more practical than navigating the upper sites. Cell service is available, and campfires and pets are permitted. Mosquitoes can be aggressive, particularly in higher pull-outs and at certain times of year, so insect protection is worth packing. Bear activity has been noted by recent visitors.

Site quality varies noticeably by position. Some spots give open sightlines toward the mountains; others sit in denser vegetation with no views at all. Nearby options like Spread Creek Dispersed Camping and Spread Creek Views offer comparable free camping along the same corridor if the sites here are full. Campers planning a longer stay in the region can find additional camping spots near Teton National Forest worth exploring. Come prepared to scout your site before committing.

Mixed experience with site quality varying from secluded mountain view spots to basic parking areas. Noise from passing traffic and late arrivals was a common concern, though some found quieter locations.

Edge of Tetons NP

Free campsites at edge of the park. Several sites along FS road. Camping in designated sites only. Large gravel pull out 1.5 miles from main road, then numerous assigned spots. Quiet. Bear activity. Road in was ok.

Sites are good, lot is not

Spots past the large parking lot seem to be good. We were there on Mon-Tue and all spots were taken so we used the large lot which is all it is. Was fine just to crash other than people showed up late both nights(1:15 & 3:45am). Will try a different area next time. We did attempt to stay in a pull out up the mountain but the mosquitos threw us out immediately

Spread Creek dispursed Campsite #2

We camped overnight at a site across the road from the gravel pit. It was a nice secluded site with views of the mountains. We thought we were lucky to get a spot so quick but after staying a night we found out why. Everyone who camped on that stretch had to go by our campsite. Trucks and campers going by at all hours of the night. I suggest you camp further up the road. As far as you can. The road is a gravel road and rough in spots but we made it fine in our truck. If you have a big RV, I suggest you camp in the first few spots or the gravel yard.

Just eh

No view at all. Very secluded spot. The bugs were terrible. There was an old road that had some good hiking
