A harmful cyanobacteria bloom (HCB) recreational use BLOOM ADVISORY has been issued for GUERNSEY RESERVOIR as of 6/19/26. Go to deq.wyoming.gov for more info. Avoid contact with water in the vicinity of the bloom If people, pets, or livestock come into contact with a bloom, rinse off with clean water as soon as possible and contact a doctor or veterinarian.

As of 3/23/26, a fire restriction is in effect. Wood fires are not permitted at all. Propane and gas grills are permitted. Charcoal grills must be equipped with a lid. Seminoe, Buffalo Bill, Boysen, Sinks Canyon, Medicine Lodge, and Curt Gowdy are all reservable sites where you are permitted to have wood fires in designated areas. Lake very low and train at night

We stayed at the Sandy Cove loop, site 142. The non-electric site was fine, a picnic table and fire circle. There’s a train that comes by and kept us up at night. Also the lake was super low, so not able to be enjoyed.
