Within Guernsey Reservoir State Park, Davis Bay offers a quieter camping alternative with just three sites positioned away from the busier areas. This state park campground sits about 10 miles east of Interstate 25, accessible via dirt roads that wind through grassland terrain.
The sites provide lake access for fishing and water activities, though water levels fluctuate based on reservoir management. Campers should note that Davis Bay lacks potable water, requiring visitors to bring their own supply or access water at other park areas. RVs up to 45 feet can navigate the access roads, and the $10 nightly fee includes standard amenities like picnic tables and fire rings. A reviewer noted the area stays relatively empty on weekdays, making it suitable for campers seeking fewer neighbors during their stay.
