A harmful cyanobacteria bloom (HCB) recreational use BLOOM ADVISORY has been issued for GUERNSEY RESERVOIR as of 6/19/26. Go to deq.wyoming.gov for more info. Avoid contact with water in the vicinity of the bloom If people, pets, or livestock come into contact with a bloom, rinse off with clean water as soon as possible and contact a doctor or veterinarian.
ANNUAL SILT RUN INFORMATION: -July 5: Reservoir levels begin dropping as water releases are reduced. -Boat ramps are expected to become unusable by July 8. -The silt run is scheduled for July 11___24. -Reservoir refilling begins July 24, with boating expected to resume around July 27. Water levels will continue rising until normal levels are reached around July 29.
As of 3/23/26, a fire restriction is in effect. Wood fires are not permitted at all. Propane and gas grills are permitted. Charcoal grills must be equipped with a lid. Seminoe, Buffalo Bill, Boysen, Sinks Canyon, Medicine Lodge, and Curt Gowdy are all reservable sites where you are permitted to have wood fires in designated areas.
