    Way home

This campground we we’re setting up in a rain storm. Not fun. We we’re not able to use the pool because of the storm. It was fine all gravel with plenty of work.

    Clean and Convenient

This campground is conveniently located right off the interstate, next to a Pilot and Camping World. Super easy access for all your needs. The campground and facilities are clean.

It’s just a gravel lot bordering the interstate, though. Road noise was quite annoying. The office is closed on Sundays.

Over night stop on way Rushmore

Was nice one night stop on way to Mt Rushmore area. Did loose power about midnight. Same to neighbors power. Both our power protectors said reverse polarity. 25 minutes later power came back on.??? Was good night stay with daughter and two grandsons. In August 2020.

    Home bound

Directions need to include crossing two bridges after dirt road. Very nice park and large spaces. Top of the line for a military camp

    Kitschy dude ranch

We pulled in during “Frontier Days”. The Dead Heads were playing a concert so it was WILD. The rv spots are pretty close together, but the day after the concert (Tuesday) it cleaned up FAST. There was basically no one here after.

You can pet bison, which is worth it. The rest of the prices are geared towards kids. Sorta run down for the prices you pay.

Definitely a ONE night stay sort of place.

    More KOA than Dude Ranch.

Spot 66 was a straight mud pit.

    Would recommend a “deluxe” spot.

    Lots to do here

RV park has level gravel lots with full hookups. Right off interstate on Exit 2, as you enter WY. Camp store has good supply of drinks, clothes and souvenirs. Cafe was closed but did look good. Ate at Senators Steakhouse and had buffet, including beef prime rib, bison ribs and bison burgers. Wednesday night they had open lic with live music. Bar had good selections of alcohol including some expensive wines. Great service.

    Nice park

This campground is an old koa, but don't be turned off by that because it has been completely revamped, and under new ownership. Rjourney. It is a very clean park. With all of the amenities, including swimming pool, and a very large play area with putt putt golf, horse shoes, and several other yard games.

    Nice Fam Camp

Sites are gravel and not all are very level. Grounds are not well maintained. Lots of trees. Prairie Dogs are prolific. Pronghorn deer wander all over the base.

Lots to do without leaving the campgrounf!

Clean facilities, friendly hosts, and lots of amenities and activities right there at the campground. We were allowed to trade two nights of tent camping for one night in a cabin to try to avoid a storm.

Cabins have a porch swing, private table, parking, and a partial privacy fence. Putt putt, croquet, birdwatching, rock painting, volleyball, basketball, large yard games, and more!

    Basic parking lot

Overall good for a night stay. Basic parking lot, gravel, level lots. Close to each other. We were here five days, only full 2 nights and very high turn over. Staff is nice and so have been the campers. Be aware if you have a dog with a high prey drive, rabbits and ground squirrels(??) everywhere.

    Open Year Around

Great friendly service at check in. Since we were here late in October, there were plenty of sites available - gravel, but we’ll maintain and very level. The one drawback was the staff had three overnight visitors and they placed us right next to each other. Rather crowded and we realized how narrow the sites were.

    Quaint and Quiet

A very easy in and out site. It was clean.. gravel sites were nice and level. We had a little snow which made it more challenging to enjoy the whole property but I would stay here again :-)

    By I - 80

This is A KOA we stopped at on our way home. It is close to Interstate 80. That means easy on- easy off, but also highway noise. Someone else mentioned trains, but I never heard any.

Friendly service, clean bathrooms/showers. The sites & roads are all gravel, with a few trees. The thing is, this is the high desert. If there was no gravel, there'd be dust& dirt. I was grateful for the gravel!

Site was ok. There was a pool, but we didn't use it. The office had a store as well. I would stay again if in the area.

    Great Facility

There’s a old saying. “Getting there is half the fun.” Ok we didn’t have fun. The primary access gate is closed, a sign inside the base says “details on FB”. Thanks! We entered the base via Gate 5. Easy enough. Then followed the signs. Which took us to a rail road underpass with a No RV sign and posted 11 1/2 ft clearance. Sigh! Found Old Glory Rd with a surface crossing. Presto! The base commissary and AAFES exchange is right down the road. So to recap. Enter base via Gate 5. Turn left on Rogers Ave, left on Randall, right on Old Glory, right on Missile Dr, right on S Creek Dr and left on Fam Camp rd.
As for the Camp, great facility. Office closed on the weekend, self check in. This is a come back place!

    Very loud

We knew there was an Air Force Base nearby but we did not know that military helicopters would be making low passes over the campground at 10 PM. Sites also not very level. Unlike other KOA’s that we’ve stayed at that offer welcome cookies or free coffee, this KOA charges one dollar for a simple cup of Keurig coffee. No fire rings either.

    Good for a night - maybe 2

I gave 4 stars because the campground was really clean and the staff was extremely friendly. The laundromat was nice and wouldn’t worry about the washers and dryers being clean. The only reason I took off a star was because the location is right next to the freeway so you get a lot of noise from it and literally no landscape whatsoever the sites were nice and flat and everything is gravel. There was a dog park and the WiFi was not bad. We have Verizon not sure about other carriers. It was packed full of overnighters. Completely cleared out the following morning. I would stay again if we are ever in the area but wouldn’t stay for any amount of time.

    Nice Campsite

Only stayed one night but it was pretty nice stay. They have a breakfast service which was decent. Full hookups, pull-ins, picnic tables, and the water pipes are protected against low temperatures.

They offer air for your tires and have propane available for purchase.

Lots of things to do! Close to Cheyenne. Restaurant was a rip off but it could have been great with a little cleaning, planning, and customer service.
