      Nasty

This place is dump. I've had more pleasant stays in Walmart parking lots with homeless people for neighbors. The people running the place seem to hate their customers and have nothing in the way of Christian kindness. Everyone that I had the displeasure of interacting with had a level of rudeness and pretentiousness inversely proportionate to their IQ.

      Great Place to Camp

If you are hiking or on a bicycle, then don’t be too concerned that it’s a first come first served campground. Even if all the official pitches are taken, it’s ok to camp anywhere around the picnic area or volleyball court. No facilities other than pit toilets. As of July 2023, no potable water (there is a grocery store nearby). $11.25 per night for a single tent.

Over night stop on way Rushmore

Was nice one night stop on way to Mt Rushmore area. Did loose power about midnight. Same to neighbors power. Both our power protectors said reverse polarity. 25 minutes later power came back on.??? Was good night stay with daughter and two grandsons. In August 2020.

It’s okay… for vanlife and smaller fifth wheels

Site is $11.25/night. No water or service hookups. There is a picnic table and fire ring at each site. Bathrooms are plenty close to all sites.

Campground is located on a the four way intersection stop sign of hwy 14 and hwy 392, Briggsdale, CO. There is too much road noise to sleep in a tent.

Careful with large RV as some of the tree branches are very low.

      Good for short stay

We were passing through one night and it was good for a short term stay. They have laundry unit and showers as advertised. The mens shower was cold, but womens was decent. Water pressure at the facility was overwhelmingly strong. The tent sites were directly along the highway separated only by a bush, so it was very loud at night when sleeping.

      2 night stay

Clean bathrom and showers. Even have a fitness center. 2 dog runs and 2 dump stations also. BarBQ restaurant, theyll deliver to your site. If they're busy then you'll be right on top of each other, spaces are maybe 12' apart. No firepits and picnic tables only at full service spots, water and electric. Overall the staff was nice and the area was clean so we'd stay again if we go back to/thru Wyoming.

      Overnight stop

Quick overnight stop. Didn’t use anything but electricity. Got in late and pretty much stayed in camper and left early. We were off a bit as we had 31’ camper- most campers were pretty close together and as mentioned many are longer term workers. Mr Gil was friendly/ helpful. No problems here!

      Overpriced and too busy.

Our space was along the roadside entrance and only had electricity, no water or septic hookup…$42 with a disabled vet discount. Wifi is non existent. At&t cell service also non existent. Constant traffic and dust. I wouldn’t recommend this campground.

      Quick Overnight Stop

The entrance to the campground was a little tight for 35’ fifth wheel. If you come in from the West prepare for wide turn. RV spaces were a little tight. That night as we were laying in bed we could hear our neighbors outside their trailer planning their next stop. You can see from the attached photo how close they were. RV spot with veteran discount was $50 - a little spendy for what you get. Bathrooms were clean, coin op laundry and good WiFi. Little BBQ restaurant on site. We arrived at 7pm and they close at 8pm so they were sold out of many items on menu. Prices were OK but side portions were small.

      Great BBQ

Funny way to title a campground review but it was the best part.

Our full hook up spot was super narrow with a large cottonwood that looked like it had been banged into a couple times by other RV’s. Dead branches hung down so we couldn’t use our awning and one scrapped the roof. Site G18

Our neighbors pulled in so their door was facing us. Which seems contrary to most camp grounds.. We’ve only experienced this in one other campground. A little uncomfortable when you walk out your door and your neighbors are right there at your picnic table. Luckily this was a one nighter.

I believe this campground could be spruced up and be a very nice campground especially at $50 a pop for a full hook up spot!

Yes the barbecue joint and the campground are run and or owned by the same people. My husband raved about the barbecue, it was pretty good. It appeared that lots of people from the campground we’re getting ribs and pulled pork and brisket.

We didn’t use the facilities but our close by neighbors stated that the showers were very nice.

I believe there are numerous better sites than the one we stayed in.

Great campground with showers and laundry!

We stayed in the last tent site in the back of the property. It was close to the showers, restrooms, and laundry room. This was very quiet and peaceful. The RVs didn't run the generators so it was great! The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful. We went to the BBQ restaurant in the front of the building and had the best BBQ in Wyoming!

      Great Facility

There’s a old saying. “Getting there is half the fun.” Ok we didn’t have fun. The primary access gate is closed, a sign inside the base says “details on FB”. Thanks! We entered the base via Gate 5. Easy enough. Then followed the signs. Which took us to a rail road underpass with a No RV sign and posted 11 1/2 ft clearance. Sigh! Found Old Glory Rd with a surface crossing. Presto! The base commissary and AAFES exchange is right down the road. So to recap. Enter base via Gate 5. Turn left on Rogers Ave, left on Randall, right on Old Glory, right on Missile Dr, right on S Creek Dr and left on Fam Camp rd.
As for the Camp, great facility. Office closed on the weekend, self check in. This is a come back place!

We went into the office and asked if there was tent site available and they said."Yes!" We got a nice tent site in the corner of the park. We were close to the showers and bathroom. There are laundry facilities and free wifi. It was a little spendy, but worth it.

      Amazing people and BBQ

I would have given this place a 5 if it wasn’t for the lack of views. The people that run the park are salt of the earth. I ran out of ice and they started their machine for a single bag and then I ask what I owed them and they said “don’t worry about it, it’s ice” they certainly have some of the best BBQ around.

I stayed at the campground for one night at the end of April, 2021. It was $20 for a tent site. It was raining heavily that day, and I was allowed to park at a RV site, so I can be close to the bathroom which is vey clean. Highly recommended place and very nice family business.
