Buffalo KOA

Nice little place though it looks to be growing. Pool was down for repair kids a little disappointed but they lived. We stayed one night, host were great and friendly. River on campgrounds was fast running but I'm sure it's very cooling in the hot summer days ahead

Creekside surprise

South Fork was perhaps the most pleasant surprise I’ve ever had as I pulled into a campground. Beautiful creek, clean, spatially distanced sites, tall Ponderosa pines at each site. USFS had invested great thought and resources into this campsite. Water and firewood available. Host has done this…

Everything you expect from a KOA

It's a typical KOA. Well maintained. Clean. Great showers/rest rooms. Close sites. Pool wasn't open yet. Store. Very friendly staff. Close to town and the interstate. Dog park. Playground. Some road noise. Propane. Wifi.

Best kept secret!

Crazy Woman Canyon Road starts high on an open hilltop and then descends deep into a lush and beautiful canyon. The road follows the river with large boulders stacked upon each other to make up the canyon walls. This canyon worth exploring! If you go at the right time, you may even see some…

Quiet campground

Nice place to stop between Yellowstone and the Black Forest. Campsites were clean and well kept. This KOA has wifi, laundry, a dog park, and a lodge. The bathrooms were clean and each shower and restroom is individual so there is privacy. Checkout time is at 11 am.

Great campground

We liked this place so much, that we have reservations to stay there again, but for two nights, not just one. We stayed here for one night in Sept 2020 on our way to Yellowstone. There weren’t many sites taken as it was the last week to be open. The vault toilet was clean. Water and trash bins…

Great stop for road trip

We had a great time at the campground. We did a road trip while pregnant with our first girl so we had a camper van. The sites were spacious and clean so were the bathrooms.

Camping and Beer near climbing? Sign me up!

We stayed here on a Friday and Saturday in July of 2018 while on a climbing trip. The brewery offered dispersed tent camping on their spacious front lawn for $5/night and, given the number of vans present in the parking lot, I'd imagine they offered van camping at the same price. As far as standard…

Favorite campground!

Favorite campground! We stayed here at site 27B for just one night in August 2020 bit wish we had stayed many more nights. The campsites are in a beautiful pine forest on the edge of a prairie/meadow that has a creek running through it. Absolutely magical place, and the light in the morning and…

High Altitude Camping

Nice campground at 10,500 feet above sea level! Very rocky terrain. No electricity or sewer for RV's. 2 water pumps, which were shut off when we were there end of September. Lovely sounds of the North Fork Little Laramie River. Hiking available. Apparently used a lot by 4-wheelers; quite a…

Wyoming diamond

Buffalo Creek Campground is a couple miles down the road from Graves Spring Campground. They both boast the same amenities (fire pits, picnic tables, trash, restroom, creek access, and wildlife). However, Buffalo Creek has half the sites- so, it is more intimate. There is great fishing within 11…

Gorgeous! Well maintained! Free!

Grave springs boasts over 10 sites with picnic tables, fire pits, restrooms, and trash. The scenery is unbelievable. Dark sky's at night reveal the milky way. Wildlife include fox, racoons, squirrels, skunk, elk, deer and fish! The creek runs through the campground. Close by are amazing scramble…

Not as good as expected

Pulled in and it looked nice but it’s right near the road. So pretty noisy at night with trucks going by. There is a Hampton Inn next door doing construction so promptly at 730am, bull dozers and construction began. Showers and bathrooms were clean though
