Parkway RV Campground

Parkway RV Campground operates year-round behind a gas station in Cody, with full hookups accommodating RVs up to 70 feet. The campground accepts cash or check payments and allows pets, making reservations available for planning ahead. The layout features permanent mobile homes around the perimeter and daily rental sites in an interior loop.

Tent campers set up on grassy areas in the center surrounded by RVs, while the facility provides basic amenities including restrooms, showers, and WiFi that works well from sites near the office. As one reviewer noted, "The campground is located behind a gas station for your convenience." The shower facilities lack dedicated changing areas, requiring campers to manage clothing changes within the shower stalls themselves.

The location puts visitors about an hour from Yellowstone's east entrance and walking distance from Cody's attractions like the nightly rodeo. Campers can access Walmart and other services in town for supplies. For those exploring the broader region, campgrounds around Cody provide additional options.

This straightforward campground works well for travelers using Cody as a base for Yellowstone exploration or those needing convenient overnight parking with full services.

Getting ready for Yellowstone

Nice convenient town to get things ready before hitting the Yellowstone. Walmart, Rodeo, Verizon, etc. If you tent, you will be camping on the greens in the center of the park with RVs surrounding you, but we didn't mind for one night. Not really a changing space for the shower, so either figure out how to change and take shower in the shower, or be okay with a bit of public changing. Paid $20 for the tenting.

Did the Job

Nothing fancy - no pool or bbq pits, but it worked for us as we were just passing through. It’s about an hour from the east entrance to Yellowstone which is convenient. We attended the Cody Nite Rodeo - not our usual crowd - but enjoyed it. Bathrooms are fine but not ada accessible.

Close to town with lots of mobile homes

For me, this wasn't the ideal place. The perimeter is all full time mobile homes. The interior loop is daily sites.

If you like really nice people, close to town and just a spot to use as a home base for exploring, this place is perfect.
